Chapter 2
I had actually noticed Ralph’s changes. He enjoyed playing with cars and being in a band, and he was usually carefree.
But half a month ago.
His personality suddenly became much calmer.
No longer did I go out eagerly every day and come back drunk.
Sometimes, I could even see him holding a book and reading it earnestly.
This is outrageous.
Where had Ralph ever come across a book before?
I told Ralph, “You have changed.”
He simply asked me, “Is this not good?”
There was nothing bad.
Even better, because I was an ultimate beauty enthusiast.
It
It doesn’t matter what Ralph became, as long as his face was still there.
I liked him purely because of that face.
Apart from that, I felt nothing towards him.
Being more well–behaved actually wins my heart.
Therefore, I deliberately ignored his changes and hypnotized myself.
What was Ralph’s brother called?
Yes, Byron Higgins.
The supposedly rigid and serious perfect heir.
I carried a bag of grapes back home.
The meal has been prepared.
“Today, there are spare ribs, your favorite dish,” Byron said. “Did you make it yourself?”
“Of course.”
I heard that Byron started taking care of the family affairs as soon as he graduated.
Compared to his younger brother’s unruliness, he was the true pride of heaven.
But those clean and slender hands, now personally sweep the kitchen for this colossal lie.
I stared at him for a long time.
Byron asked, “What happened?”
“Have you been working out recently?”
“Why are you asking this?” he was still alert. “The muscles on your upper arm seem to be tighter than before.”
He instinctively folded his arms and casually lifted some weights.
“Not bad. Muscles were a man’s best dowry.”
He was somewhat helpless. “But you said before, honesty is the best dowry for a man.”
“Were you honest?”
Byron fell silent.
I smiled and stuffed a peeled grape into his mouth.
He ate it unexpectedly.

Byron forgot.
His younger brother is allergic to grapes.
This was not the first time Byron showed his true colors. Last night.
I drank too much and confessed my love to him.
Byron remained motionless.
I got angry and asked, “What’s been going on with you lately? You don’t even let me touch.”
“You just caught a cold, and couldn’t withstand the agitation.”
“What use are you if you can’t even meet your girlfriend’s basic needs?”
“Be patient, wait a little longer.”
“What are you waiting for? Let’s break up, I’ll find someone with a good physique.”
“No!”
He subconsciously rejected it and hugged me from behind.
It seemed like Byron was stimulated by those words, and he passionately kissed me.
Meanwhile, the hand moved downstream…
In a daze, I looked up at him.
In those calm eyes, there was a kind of crazy feeling that disregarded everything.
It’s as if… he was overturning his own moral bottom line.
Byron didn’t know.
His younger brother never did things that only pleased me.
Ralph had never had such a look in his eyes before.
The following week.
Byron and I always maintained such a relationship. When I needed, he would come to solve it.
But the final step was never taken.
That night, I entered the bedroom early.
It was after nine o’clock when Byron’s phone rang.
He thought I was asleep and answered the phone directly in the living room.
The bedroom door was not closed tightly.
“Brother.”
Ralph’s voice was faintly heard, “Could you do me a favor and help me break up with Madalynn?”
Byron remained silent.
He sat half his body in the shadow, looking formidable without showing any anger.
This is the real him. He took off all the disguises.
