Chapter 10
The cars pulled up in front of Silverwood Estate.[]
Looking at the empty entrance, Seraphina took off her sunglasses. []
Where was Zayden?]
Didn’t he say he had a surprise for her?]
She was finally free from her divorce, and he wasn’t even coming out to welcome her?]
Still feeling a little confused, she pushed open the unusually quiet front door.
After a loud thud, cheerful piano music seamlessly began to play.
The previously pitch–black living room blazed with light, revealing everything that had been hidden in the darkness.]
Pink–and–white roses covered every inch of the room. A subtle floral scent drifted through the air. Countless familiar and unfamiliar faces smiled as they pushed a massive castle cake out from the other rooms.]
Zayden dressed in a black tuxedo, sat at the piano with complete focus on his delicate face. His fingers dancing wildly as the music poured out like a fountain.[]
Seraphina felt her heart skip several beats. Like something out of a dream.]
She was enveloped by an unreal feeling, unconsciously following the music.]
One step, then another.]]
When she finally stopped beside the piano, the last note had just ended.[]
Zayden lifted his eyes, more brilliant than the stars. He pulled a bouquet of roses from behind the piano and held it out to Seraphina.[]
“Sera, thank you for choosing me and coming to my side.“[]
Before she could reply, the room erupted-
“Happy Divorce Day, Sera!“]]
“Congrats on snagging the hottest guy in town!”
Having just gotten divorced, Seraphina wasn’t quite used to such a boisterous scene. The flush rising on her cheeks gave her away.
Zayden noticed the way her ears turned pink and smiled.[]
He stood and gently pulled her into his arms.]
The cheering around them grew louder. Seraphina buried her head in his neck, hearing his laughing voice whisper in her ear.[]
“Sera, when you said you’d give me a title someday–do those words still count?”
Seraphina was slightly stunned. She looked up at him in surprise. Then under his very serious gaze, she nodded.]]
The next second, Zayden removed his hands from her waist. He stepped back two paces and dropped to one knee.[]
The crowd went wild.
He pulled out a velvet box from his pocket and flipped it open, revealing a simple but stunning diamond ring. []
Seraphina’s breath caught.]
She finally understood what all this elaborate surprise was for, what his question really meant.[]
And the reality matched her thoughts.
Zayden took her hand and placed a feather light kiss on her right ring finger.]
To her, to all their friends on both sides, he asked with utmost devotion:
“Sera, will you give me the chance to become your fance?)
Everyone held their breath until he finished proposing, then they all shouted “Say yest” in unison.[]
Seraphina’s heartbeat quickened with each wave of encouragement]

Chapter 10
She looked into those close and expectant eyes as countless moments with him flashed through her mind.
When they first met, he’d steadied her when she was drunk and heartbroken, gently wiping away her tears when she couldn’t stop crying.
When she said she wanted to be his sugar mama, he’d happily hug her and say it was his honor to catch her eye.]
Through countless sleepless nights of tossing and turning, he was there beside her, telling funny stories to cheer her up…
Zayden made her believe her life hadn’t reached a dead end, that she still had the chance and strength to start over.
He reminded her that love didn’t have to mean losing herself–that she was still allowed to dream.
He also made her believe that her passionate love wouldn’t drown in the abyss of a hopeless marriage, but would be reborn after rising from the ashes.
She’d crossed through that nightmare–like darkness and reached the dawn.
The one who supported her through it all and waited for her at the finish line–it had always been Zayden.
So even if the future ahead was uncertain, anxiety about entering marriage right after gaining freedom, all of it dissolved because of the boy in front of her.
She made the choice that came from her heart, giving the most determined answer.
“Yes, I do.”
