Chapter 2
My golden eyes–symbol of my divinity and authority as the Queen of the Wolves. From the moment I was
was born, these eyes were what placed me
on the throne.
They represented a gift from the Moon Goddess. A gift of heart filled with kindness and boundless compassion, and divine power directly bestowed by her. It was a symbol that I was a Queen whose benevolence knew no limits.
But now, that symbol has vanished. The moment I opened my eyes, the golden hue was gone.
This is the payment for turning back the time? I thought to myself.
1 did not feel much different physically. Like before, power still surged in my veins. But something deep inside me changed.
My humanity. My compassion. My empathy..
My love towards my people all seemed to be missing.
My noble golden light… My divinity and the power that made me queen were gone.
Inside my soul, there was only a thirst. A thirst to burn and ruin everything that betrayed me and hurt me.
As if I became a beast whose only desire was to topple the world under my feet.
A searing pain split through my head as I instinctively lowered it, shielding my eyes with trembling hands.
Hearing Rowan’s words, I summoned every ounce of my power to forcibly turn back time to a time before everything happened. When I still held power and control over the throne.
A time before I was betrayed.
Back to when my linle boy, River, was yet to be born.
“This time. I will properly protect you….”
“And inflict unimaginable pain on each and every person who-harmed you. My eyes flashed.
I glanced down at my hands. “How strange. In the past, I couldn’t bring myself to harm anyone. Even when I was betrayed, I chose to let go, to silently surrender.
“But now, the thought of scorching Silas and all my enemies…”
“Is somehow amusing? My deep crimson eyes, filled with desire to burn the entire world, slowly curved into crescents.
Suddenly, the image of Rowan’s laughter from before I turned back time flashed in my mind. “What an unusual laugh. Did you intentionally plan it from the start! To rile me up, and perhaps send me to the past?
I had many doubts. Why would Rowan come to me when I was dying Why would he inform me of Silas‘ doing? How was he able to learn all about my son. River! More than that.. did he always know that it was possible to use my divinity to turn back the time? But as my thoughts proceeded, a small smile sided on my lips.
Whether he planned it or not was irrelevant. What mattered was that he helped me… And gave me this chance. A chance to make everything right.
While I was deep in thought, a young guard carefully entered the throne room. Without lifting his head, he knelt on the ground. “Greetings, my queen_” I raised a brow, hearing the shaking from his voice.
“This guard is so scared of me?‘ I thought as I quietly observed him. But before I could make sense of his odd behavior, his next words caught my full attention.
“Lady Ael is requesting an audience.”
All My eyes flashed. Oh Ael, my lovely, closest friend and cousin. The one who was my constant support and one of my closest confidants
The same one who plotted my downfall with sweet, deceptive smiles. The one who led the attack on my father’s pack and slaughtered my family by subbing them at the back
Suddenly, I remembered how Rowan described her
Silas lap dog. How fitting‘
“Lovely. Invite her in,” I let out a laugh. ‘Lattle girl.. you played too much in my past life. This time, let me play really well with you. My eyes turned

cold.
Hearing my laughter, the guard who was kneeling froze before his face turned red. He dared not lift his head to meet my eyes as hurried out of the
thrane roHL
I narrowed my eyes. The guard had a familiar face, but I did not know who he was. In the past, I did not have much of an interaction with my servants. I mostly left the administration of my castle to the council who I completely trusted.
No wonder I got easily betrayed,’ I bit my lower lip.
This time. I should get to know everyone close to me, in detail. Like that adorable boy
Upon that thought, I lifted my hands and tapped my eyelids one by one Slowly, my piercing red eyes turned golden
‘As much as I wanted to torch everyone right now, I shouldn’t.
“Slowly. I would discover everything. Each and every person who supported Silas to plot my destruction and harmed my child.. I would make them all pay.
“You look like you’re in a good mood, sister.” Ael walked in the throne room with light steps and head held high. Her long brown hair fell freely to her knees. I lifted my eyes and stared at her for a straight five seconds before looking away with a small smile on my face..
In my past life, I thought she looked like a fairy. But looking at her now. With her chest puffed out and her chin held high she looked more like
Ael, who was approaching me, stopped her track, stunned. 1, who was always solemn and generally did not show emotion, was smiling charmingly as I sat on my throne
She blinked her eyes twice before letting out a hesitant smile.
“You really are in a good mood. Did something happen?” She tried to pry, her eyes looking defensive.
*O* I could not see it before, but does she always look so guilty?
The plot for the treason, did they already start at this time? My eyes hardened.
Arl stopped on her track, seeing the change in any expression. She made her eyes bigger and innocently blinked. “Sister?” She carefully asked.
“well.” I lean at the back of my throne.
- e. With a smirk I said, “I was just thinking of how I could play with you.”
“A” Ael’s face immediately turned sunny. “I know you love me the most? She laughed before hurrying to approach me.
No one is allowed to approach the throne unless with permission. That was a strict rule since the time of my predecessors. Ael knew it well. But still. she would often approach my throne. And I was foolish enough to allow her to do it without calling her out
I used to be so kind.. To the point of being stupid, I thought. But not anymore!
“You have forgotten your manners, sister, Before she managed to approach me, I said bekure waving a hand. Immediately, a gentle wind appeared and stopped Ael from her track, while surreptitiously touching her shirt. Ael looked at me incredulously.
W–what do you mean?” She answered, sounding annoyed
“I know that you hurried to come there. Hut look at your shirt. Did you have to leave your room like that?” I asked with a gentle, concerned voice
Acl immediately looked down and saw that three of her buttons “accidentally” opened up, making more than half of her chest exposed. Her eyes turned wide as the hurried and covered her chest.
“W–what I swear I was decent before going out of the room!” She insisted. Her proud face turned completely red.
Her reaction was funny. But her high–pitched voice irritated my ears. So, before she could make more scenes, Llified a hand, signaling her to stop.
“What are you here for?” Lasked. Arl took a second. From embarrassment, her face turned into excitement.
“Oh sister, did you forget about it?”
“Alqu the founding celebration! We only have two weeks before at She exclaimed
The founding celebration Suddenly, my heart skipped a beat. Because the night of that time when I was poised. The night that Silas claimed
to have spent with me to uve my life.
The night when Lounroved Hiver!
