Silas kicked him out of the house.
After hanging up, Jasper drove to the funeral parlor.
It wasn’t open yet, so Jasper banged hard on the door and woke one of the staff members.
“Where are Amara’s ashes?“
Jasper’s eyes were bright red, and it made the staff member jump in fright.
“I’m sorry, mister. We checked, and Ms. Amara’s ashes have been collected by someone. They were signed for.”
Jasper was furious. He said angrily, “I signed, but I didn’t take them with me! What have you done with her ashes?”
The staff member remembered Jasper. There was a flash of scorn in his eyes, but he remained polite on the surface.
