Husband Forces Me to Divorce at Reunion, Then Begs When He Knows Who I Am! Ch 2
Chapter 2
Ignoring their mocking stares, I stood up, determined to leave. But before I could make it to the door, a hand grabbed my shoulder.

“Where do you think you’re going? Did I give you permission?”

Adeline’s smug smile sent a chill down my spine, her eyes dripping with disdain.

“Fiona, you’ve got two options today: take the money and divorce, or I’ll make sure you do, one way or another.”

She leaned in closer, her voice dripping with malice. “Think carefully, because you won’t get a third choice.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at her. “You’re sure you want me to pick?”

Adeline, clearly not sensing the trouble she was in, only chuckled.

“Of course. Once you divorce Logan, I’ll make sure you have a good life afterward.”

I suppressed the anger boiling inside and responded slowly, deliberately. “I’ll divorce Logan, and I don’t want the money. But…”

I paused, letting the silence hang in the air.

“You’ll have to let me make a call first. Because this divorce? It’s not just my decision.”

Adeline burst out laughing. “Fiona, you really think you’re important, don’t you? Giving you a choice was a courtesy, not a negotiation.”

She straightened up, her voice dripping with arrogance. “No matter who you call, you’re getting a divorce today. Got it?”

I could hear the thinly veiled threat, but honestly, I found it almost laughable.

“I’ve already said I’ll divorce Logan. But this needs approval from someone else. I can’t make that call alone.”

Adeline’s face shifted into something darker, ready to turn violent. But Logan stopped her.

“Sweetheart, don’t waste your energy. Let her make the call.”

He looked smug, thinking I was just stalling.

“I’ve already made my decision, Fiona. It’s happening today. No matter who you call.”

I thought back to everything I’d done for Logan: handing over my stipend every month, keeping the house running while he did nothing but shop and play mahjong. He barely came home, but when he did, he still wasn’t satisfied.

In that moment, whatever affection I had left for him disappeared.

“Logan, don’t flatter yourself. I wasn’t trying to change your mind, I just find you repulsive.”

“But you and Adeline? After this call, I hope you won’t regret it.”

I considered giving them a warning, but some people never learn. Adeline, for one, was beyond help.

“Fiona, you really think you’re in control here?” Adeline sneered, not realizing the mess she was about to make.

I waved her off, cutting her off mid-sentence.

“Enough. I don’t need to hear any more from you.”

With that, I pulled out my phone and dialed my boss.
