But right then, Rocco’s eyes suddenly lit up. There was something in his gaze–like he wanted to say something but stopped himself.
Meanwhile, I gently tugged on Renzo’s sleeve, watching his stunned expression. “Renzo, what’s wrong? Are you… not happy?“}]
He finally came back to his senses, glanced down at me, and frowned.
“Well, you’re the one who refused to use protection all this time. Now you’re pregnant–what do you expect me to do?“}
His face twisted like he’d just swallowed a bug. But after a second, he seemed to remember what he was supposed to say. He smoothed out his expression and added, “It’s a good thing. Since you’re pregnant, we’ll keep the baby.”
I looked at him carefully. “Then… What about the wedding?“}
“We’ll move it up,” he said immediately. “Let’s do it next month. I want everyone–especially Grandpa–to know you’re having my child.”
Blushing, I leaned against him, acting shy. “Renzo, you’re so good to me.“}]
But just out of my view, Rocco’s fists clenched tight at his sides.
That night, Renzo didn’t come to my room. He said since I was pregnant now, the first three months were critical, so we should sleep in separate rooms for safety.
I’d barely settled into bed when I got a notification from my surveillance system.
I clicked it open.}
The screen lit up with footage from the guest room on the first floor of the estate.}
There was Renzo–pinning Ciara against the wall, kissing her hard.”
He’s got this obsession with cleanliness. He hates hotels. And that guest room… That’s Ciara’s personal room.‘”
At that moment, her hands were buried in his thick hair, her face dazed but still aware.
She couldn’t hold it in anymore. “Didn’t you say you only cared about the baby?” she asked. “That you weren’t actually going to marry her?“}
Renzo’s jaw clenched as he gritted out, “I need to keep her calm first.”
Ciara let out a cold little laugh. “If Susie finds out you set up your brother to sleep with her, and that the baby in her belly is actually his… she’ll never forgive you.“}
He buried his face in her chest, his voice muffled. “She’s never gonna find out!“}
But Ciara snorted. “That Project Shoreline–your brother sabotaged you, right? Honestly, it seems like he really likes Susie.“}]
“That’s bullshit!” Renzo snapped. “There’s no way he actually likes her. He just thinks she’s new and exciting!”
Ciara didn’t buy it. She raised an eyebrow and shrugged. “We’ll see. I’m telling you, the way he looks at her isn’t casual. You’re trying to use her pregnancy to win Grandpa over and get a bigger share of the inheritance. But if this backfires, you’ll lose everything.”
“Shut up!”
Watching this from my bed, I didn’t even hesitate–I saved the footage right away.

Yep. That bald guy I met at the teahouse… I’d bought spy cams from him. I didn’t just install them in the guest room. I put them in the study too–and a few other spots in the estate, just in case.
And no, I’m not actually pregnant. I ordered a ton of birth control pills online and stashed them in a vitamin C bottle.
Every time he and I did it, I took one right after.
The next day, Renzo went all out. He hired eighteen nutritionists just to make me rotating menus of fancy prenatal meals.
I tugged on his sleeve and whispered, “Isn’t this a bit… much?”
But he just said seriously, “No, it’s necessary. Later, the family doctor I invited will come by and do a full check–up to confirm you’re really pregnant.”
“What?” I froze on the spot.
Right on cue, the butler walked in with a man in a white coat.
“Sir, Dr. Applebaum is here,”
‘Shit!‘
I’d been worried Renzo would take me to the hospital, so I’d already made backup plans–like having one of my pregnant girlfriends pee for me.”
But I never imagined he’d actually bring the doctor to the estate!
‘What should I do now? I’m going to be exposed!‘
My stomach flipped as I watched the doctor start pulling out all kinds of equipment for the checkup.”
