Seeing his secretary humbled like that, Dylan looked humiliated and reluctantly stepped forward.
“Captain Reed, I’m the chairman of Dawson Group. Could you do me a favor and let my person go first?”
The captain let out a quiet sigh, his expression torn.
“President Dawson I’m truly sorry, but at this moment, we only take orders from Miss Laurel.”
The instant those words fell, the terminal erupted in astonished whispers.
“What? Did I hear that right? Even the richest man in Georgia had no say in this?”
“She turned the plane around with a single call and had the captain personally greet her. There can’t be many people in the country. capable of that!”
“This is it. Secretary Madelaine really kicked an iron plate this time.”
As the murmuring around us grew louder, Madelaine’s face turned ghostly pale.
I kept a calm, faint smile as I slowly stepped forward.
“Secretary Madelaine, the hundred million in cash you demanded has arrived. The armored trucks are waiting outside.“8
“Now then, shall we discuss my compensation?”
Madelaine glared at me, her expression twisting with resentment.

I let out a low, amused laugh.8
“Oh? From the way you’re talking, are you threatening me, Secretary Madelaine?“}
At that moment, Dylan, standing as her superior, finally couldn’t stay silent.
“Lilah, this is such a trivial matter. Must you really take it this far?“!
“Secretary Madelaine is, after all, sort of connected to the Laurel family now. Could you do me a favor and let this go?”
I threw my head back and laughed outright.
“A favor? President Dawson, do you honestly think your ‘face‘ is worth that much to me?“%
Dylan’s expression turned thunderous in an instant.
“Lilah, I’d advise you not to push your luck. Don’t forget, this is Georgia!”
“You two really are cut from the same cloth, I said with a cold laugh. “Even your tone is identical,”
Without another word, I pulled out my phone.
“President Dawson, your people dare to act so brazenly on a plane just because they think they have your family behind them, isn’t that right?”
“Well, today, I’m going to be as high–profile as I please and put an end to this rotten arrogance of you so–called elites.”
With that, I calmly dialed Dylan’s father right there in front of everyone.!!
The call connected after a single ring.
“Oh my, Miss Laurel? Weren’t you supposed to be meeting my son right now? What’s prompted you to call me instead?“?
I gave Dylan a long, measured look and spoke with deliberate calm.
“Zion Dawson, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you.”
“Has the Dawson family been living a little too comfortably these past few years?“M
Before he could muster a reply, I went on in the same cold, threatening tone Madelaine had used with my leader earlier. “You have ten minutes. Get to the airport. Otherwise, I won’t mind reshuffling the entire business landscape in Georgia.” There was a stunned pause on the other end of the line, followed by the unmistakable crash of a cup shattering on the floor.” “Miss Laurel, please, calm down. I’m leaving right now!”
After just a few brief exchanges, everyone present stood frozen, their faces a perfect portrait of shock.
