His Secretary 12

Chapter 4

Right then, Celine looked at me with total contempt and muttered.

“It’s just some broken pieces! Stop trying to act all mysterious and scare people!”

Looking at Celine’s ignorant attitude, I couldn’t be bothered with her. Instead, I gave her exactly what she wanted and stated my location.

“LAX International Airport, Terminal 1, Gate A.”

Uncle Daven’s voice on the other end had completely changed, carrying an almost roaring command tone.

“Stay exactly where you are, don’t move a single step, secure the scene, no one gets near that case!”

“Security team, lock down LAX immediately, highest level alert!”

“Contact the airport’s head of security, get the top experts from the Smithsonian, right fucking now!”

Then the call was cut off.

But Elliot still didn’t believe it.

He looked at me coldly, his eyes full of mockery.

“Calista, are you done with your little trick?”

“Just to scam Lily, you really pulled out all the stops!”

“I knew breaking up with you was the right call! How did Uncle Richard end up with such a pathetic daughter!”

Celine stood behind Elliot, her eyes full of smugness.

“Exactly! You won’t give up till you’re dead and buried. I can’t wait to see how this little act plays out!”

“Now, even if you get on your knees and beg me, it won’t matter!”

The crowd was buzzing, all waiting to watch me embarrassed.

But in less than five minutes, the piercing sound of sirens suddenly grew from distant to deafening.

Not just one vehicle, but an entire convoy!

“Everyone back! All civilians step away!”

Along with harsh shouting, a team of armed personnel in special tactical gear with NASA insignia charged into the crowd at lightning speed, instantly surrounding the entire airport.

All the onlookers went pale and instinctively backed away.

Elliot, who’d just been waiting to see me humiliated, instantly went pale.

He stared at me, then looked at the overturned case by my feet, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

The smile on Celine’s face completely froze, replaced by confusion and terror.

Right now, she finally realized she’d caused a massive fucking disaster!

Too bad this realization came way too late…
