She said, “Go ahead.”
As Blake rubbed the marks, Snow realized
that he was delusional.
He was out of control as he said, “I’ll fire
Jenny. You have to break up with him.”
As Blake ranted, his cell phone rang.
Blake paused, then answered.
Her phone was happy. “Boss, I’m pregnant!” “Didn’t you say we would keep it? Snow can’t give you kids, so I wouldn’t want to seem
greedy, but it would be great if she cared for
my baby.”
She knew that Blake would think of her as
compassionate.
Blake scowled. “Pregnant?”
His mom was almost killed by the illegitimate
son of his mistress, so he hated the idea of
children out of wedlock.
That was why he never had kids.
Jenny didn’t see the danger. “Yeah, you’re
going to be a dad. Your first kid! Aren’t you
excited?”
Blake sneered. “You think you’re worthy of
birthing my child?”
Jenny was stunned. “What do you mean,
Boss?”
Blake said, “You’re a mistress. Get an
abortion and get out.”
Jenny’s eyes widened as she agreed to do
what Blake said.
Jenny packed her things to leave the country
to have the kid, but she was taken by some
suited men.
They gave her anesthesia, causing her to
pass out.
Blake called his assistant and had Jenny and
her child killed. “You’re the only one who can.
have my kids. I got rid of Jenny.”
Snow was emotionless as she stared at
Blake.
What he had done was illegal, but she didn’t
try to stop him.
Jenny tried to harm Snow, but Blake never
would have accepted that child.
Blake started to tear up. “Promise me you’ll
only care about me and I’ll never cheat on
you.”
Snow had waited to hear those words for
many years.
But they came too late. She didn’t feel
touched. She felt annoyed.
“You said we could each be with other
people. Do you regret it?”
Blake made a helpless expression.
く
“Yeah… I regret it…
“Didn’t you say you would always wait for
me?”
“I can’t be with another man. I’m jealous and
mad. Please, let’s not fight.”
He grabbed her hand, looking at her with
desperate eyes.
She stared at him. “Fight?”
“Yeah.”
Blake continued:
“I always cared about you. I just didn’t want
you to be with me for my money. I tried to
figure out what I meant to you.”
“It’s my fault. I know you’re not with Lin. It’s
okay, I’m not mad. But can you not do it
again? It’s making me depressed.‘

It was the first time Blake had ever said that
many words to her.
She didn’t want anything to do with it.
“If you can accept us being with other
L
people, then it’s fine. If not, we’ll get a
divorce.”
