Lin frowned at Blake. “You must be her
open–minded husband?”
Blake’s face went pale as the words were
caught in his throat.
One of the nurses stormed over, so Snow
spoke up:
“Blake, don’t cause a scene. You don’t want
to see our companies getting involved in a
scandal, right?”
He clenched his hands into fists. He was used
to threatening Snow, not the other way
around.
His own words mocked him.
He thought back to the first time he brought
a woman back to the house. Snow cried and
said if he had no feelings for her, they should
get divorced. He scoffed at her. “Is that really
necessary? Do you want to see our
companies caught in a scandal?”
Blake clenched his jaw as he did his best not
to lay his hands on Lin. “Fine, fine.”
One of the nurses walked in, pushing a cart.
“Please be mindful and close the door softly.
You’re scaring the other patients.
The nurse looked Blake up and down, then
said, “Are you related to the patient? This is
Mrs. Williams‘ room.
Blake’s face went dark as he stared at Snow.
She refused to make eye contact.
Blake sent her roses, sending her to the
hospital. If Lin hadn’t taken her, she might not
be here today.
Lin cared for her. If he’d seen a nurse, that
meant that Lin and Snow seemed like a
couple. She was in the hospital, too weak to
explain.
Snow didn’t want to say any of that.
Whatever Blake wanted was his problem.
Blake tried to stay calm. “I’m here to see
her.‘
وو
The nurse said, “Oh, you’re her brother? It’s
dangerous to kick down doors like that.”
She turned to Snow. “Just ring the bell if you
need something.‘
“”
Lin did his best to fight the urge to laugh.
Blake wanted to snap, but he was worried
that someone would take photos and put
them online.
He crossed his arms. “If you’re trying to make
me jealous, you win. Tell him to leave and I
can fire Jenny.”
Blake reached out his hand, leaving Snow
confused.
He smirked. “Where’s your wedding ring? It’s
in your purse, isn’t it? You want me to wear
it, right? Here’s your chance.‘
“”
A few seconds later, she realized what Blake
was saying, snickering as she lifted her empty
hands.
The wedding ring that she always wore was
long gone.
Blake raged. “Snow, you’re playing with fire!”
Lin stood in front of Snow. “No wonder Snow
doesn’t like you. You look like you abuse
her.”
Blake slammed the door shut and turned
around to hit Lin in the face.
Lin fought back immediately.
“A kept man like you has no right to speak to
me! I’ll send you back to China.”
“That’s not your decision. She doesn’t want
me to go, so I’m staying by her side.”
“You’re too old to be single! You’re cheating
on her, but you don’t want her to have fun!
You’re two–faced!”
“If it wasn’t for you, she wouldn’t be in the
hospital!”
Lin knew how to make people angry. Blake
was enraged.
Blake narrowed his eyes, but could do
nothing.
Lin was an MMA fighter. Blake was lucky that
Lin was only using 2% of his power.
Lin dodged Blake’s fists and twisted his wrist,
then said,
“If you hurt me, Snow will be worried.”
Blake turned red with rage. Snow said, “Stop!
I need to talk to him. I’ll talk to you later.”
Blake s eyes widened. Not only would she not
break up with Lin, but she even planned to
talk to him later!
Lin looked at her with a lovesick expression.
“You need to remember that, Snow.”
Right after he left, Blake grabbed Snow by
the throat.
“Snow! How dare you cheat on me!”
Blake’s eyes were bloodshot as he did his
best to kill her.
She bit his hand, shoved him away, and
yelled, “You’re the one who wanted an open
marriage! Didn’t you say that I could be with
whoever I wanted?”
All the blood rushed out of Blake’s face as he
spoke:
“I said you could do it, but why would you?
Snow’s family can barely feed themselves.
What would they do without me?”
Blake looked at the hickeys on her neck,
<
staring with widened eyes.
He took some hand sanitizer and dumped it
on her.
“You think I won’t destroy your family?”
Snow’s family was the reason she was with
Blake, but she had finally had enough.
