I didn’t understand why he would break down like this, even though DNA testing clearly proved that
they were not father and daughter.
If what he said was true, then he should have breathed a sigh of relief, so why did it feel like the sky was falling?
And he said, “How could it not be mine?”
This sentence sent a chill down my spine.
Suddenly, I felt that his reaction was not like a misunderstanding, but more like… he had always
believed that it was his child.
Or, he was certain that Karen was his child.
I clenched my phone and mustered up the courage to ask, “Kevin, what do you mean by this?”
He suddenly looked up, staring at me with a complex expression in his eyes. His lips slightly parted, as if he wanted to say something, but then he swallowed it back.
It was his hesitation in that moment that exploded in my mind with a “boom” sound.
I understood.
“So, you always thought she was your child?”
Kevin suddenly looked up, as if he had been pricked, but when he saw me, his eyes quickly turned cold, and then a very unnatural smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. “Bella, don’t imagine
things…”
“Whether I am imagining things or not, you know best.” I took a deep breath and forced myself to stay calm. “She is not your sister, she is your daughter.”
“But you didn’t have any blood relation!”
Kevin’s face turned pale suddenly, he opened and closed his mouth, but in the end, he didn’t say a
word.
He picked up the broken test sheet and ran out fiercely.
I watched Kevin’s back with pain and inexplicably smiled.
He wanted to plot against me, but ended up being plotted against by someone else.

Kevin was an almost perfect partner.
The only imperfection about him, if we were to talk about his age, is that he had certainly had a few previous partners before me.
I have seen him occasionally distracted by the girl in the white dress, but he quickly snapped out of it. I felt a little displeased in my heart, but I didn’t say anything.
After all, I have had several relationships before, and I believe that as long as I can let go and take new relationships seriously, it will be fine. That’s why I have never asked Kevin.
Kevin never mentioned his past relationships.

“He wanted you to help him raise his daughter? Pah!”
I gave a bitter smile and said, “No wonder he used to tell me not to have children and lied to me, saying it was because he couldn’t bear to see me suffer.”
“When I got married in the future, he would definitely ask me to treat Karen as my own daughter.”
Stacy hugged me tightly and said, “It’s okay! In the end, the bad guy got what he deserved. He didn’t even know he was being cheated on, and he raised someone else’s child for five years!”
“I died laughing hahaha!”
“I will give you a few days to get over your feelings for him. I have a wide network, I will find someone to investigate his emotions. I must eat this melon, I must help you get rid of this grudge!”
