Chapter 6
Keaton pulled some strings and went to the Department of Housing Development to check the properties under my name.
But I found out that I didn’t have any real estate at all.
Even the former marital home was no longer under my name.
Keaton finally realized something was wrong and hurriedly rushed back home from the hotel.
Margaret, who appeared out of nowhere, wearing a snow–white wedding dress, blocked him at the front door, “Keaton, Sariah must be angry with you for forcing her to donate blood. How can such a petty woman deserve you?”
“The auspicious moment was approaching, and the guests were all waiting. Why don’t you marry me and I will be willing to serve you comfortably for the rest of my life!”
As she spoke, her hand circled Keaton’s abdomen.
In the past, Keaton would have been able to immediately take matters into his own hands if she had managed to provoke him.
But today, he pushed Margaret away coldly and said, “Margaret, I have made it very clear. From today onwards, we are strangers. If it’s because of you that Sariah refuses to marry me, I don’t mind telling your father about your whereabouts!”
Margaret’s eyes turned red instantly, and she cried tears like raindrops, “Keaton, do you not have any feelings for me at all? Are you saying that you don’t even have a slight affection for me?”
Unable to bear Margaret’s tears any longer, Keaton, in a hurry to go home, pushed her to the ground and exclaimed, “My wife can only be Sariah!”
“I will go and pick her up now, please disappear from my life from now on!”
Determined and ruthless, Keaton kicked Margaret away as she pounced on him, and hastily got into the car to leave.
He ran through more than ten red lights and rushed back to the residential area, his whole–body trembling with panic, his legs feeling weak.
However, the property surveillance captured the scene of the housekeeper throwing away the garbage with exceptional clarity.
The things that I cherished like treasures were ruthlessly thrown away as garbage.
Chapter 6
Keaton’s heart, at this moment, felt as if it had been pierced by a thousand arrows.
He called me, covering his chest and with a pale face.
But I found that no one answered anymore.
Opening WhatsApp, he realized that he hadn’t spoken a word to me for a whole seventeen days.
During these seventeen days, he immensely enjoyed the pleasures and thrills of the physical body, completely forgetting about his own life and someone like me.
If it weren’t for the reminder from last night’s memo, he wouldn’t have remembered that he was getting married.
Even though he was reluctant to leave Margaret, he still decided to marry me according to the wedding date.
After all, those seventeen days were the most carefree and indulgent days of his life, and my
obedience and good behavior deserved him to reward me with a wedding as planned.
But the current situation has left him completely clueless about what to do.
He trembled his mouth, like a child lost with adults, constantly asking his brothers, “What should I
do? Does Sariah not want me anymore?”
“Did she say that she didn’t need me to marry her that day, implying that she had thoughts of leaving me…”
His brothers couldn’t bear to see him so downcast and quickly tried to console him, “Keaton, where is there a man who doesn’t fool around with women? Sariah was just momentarily lost, after all,
once she leaves you, she won’t be able to find anyone who loves her more than you.”
“Yeah, Keaton, you have to believe that in a few days, Sariah will come back!”
“If you ask me, you should have a fake wedding with Margaret. Sariah must have run away from the wedding because she is confident that you love her and believes that you will marry her as promised. So, she wants to give you a warning by doing this, so that she can have a tight grip on you after marriage!”
“If you were to lose your composure because of this, your future days would probably be a living
hell!”
Hope gradually lit up in Keaton’s eyes.
He nodded eagerly.

“Yes, that’s the plan! Sariah said in this lifetime, I am her person, in death, I am her ghost. If she sees me getting married to Margaret, she definitely won’t be able to hide!”
“Let’s quickly go back and organize the wedding, preferably with a live broadcast! This way, once Sariah contacts me, I can immediately tell her that this was all just an act!”
