Several men were dumbfounded instantly, “What do you mean? Didn’t a young girl move in here a
month ago?”
“Just like this!”
They took out my photo, but what they got was the neighbors shaking their heads in denial.
“I have seen her before, she is the beautiful neighbor in our community, living in the adjacent building. I haven’t seen her since her husband passed away. Are you guys her friends?”
They realized something was wrong and quickly grabbed their neighbor to ask, “What are you talking about? Her husband was perfectly fine, how could he possibly be dead? Are you also being bribed by her to act with us?”
“Hurry up and call her out! Her husband has fully recovered. Today is their wedding day. If she delays the auspicious time because of her fussiness, this wedding will probably be postponed
again!”
They shouted at the neighbor’s door on purpose, raising their voices.
They thought I was hiding in the neighbor’s house, so they all barged in without hesitation.
The neighbors wanted to stop, but it was too late.
“You guys are really interesting. You don’t even know where your friend lives, let alone show any concern when her husband dies. I’m truly amazed!”
Several people, disregarding the neighbors‘ protests, forcefully ransacked the house from top to bottom. However, they couldn’t find me, so they called a locksmith.
They thought that I was still hiding in the house rented for me by Keaton.
They complained bitterly to their neighbors, saying, “We have never seen such a manipulative woman before. If it weren’t for Keaton’s sake, I would have left a long time ago!”
The neighbor, however, stood up for me, “Are you her friends? I am very certain that she never moved in. You should go to her house quickly and make sure she’s not alone and in trouble!”
“By calculation, I haven’t seen her for a long time.”
The neighbor squinted his eyes and suddenly slapped his forehead, “The last time I saw her, she was still dealing with a bunch of wedding supplies. I heard her husband died, it’s pitiful! Just by looking at those photo albums and wedding photos, you could tell that she had a great relationship

These people all knew how precious and cherished my memories with Keaton were.
Even when he was playing with me, using a soda can pull tab as a ring, I treated it like a precious treasure and bought a high–end box to store it.
Now, upon hearing the neighbors say that I had lost over a dozen bags of couple items, they finally realized that something was wrong.
Just then, the locksmith arrived and quickly opened the door with a few moves.
A group of people walked in with a “whoosh” sound, only to find no signs of habitation inside the house.
Everything was still the same as when they and Keaton came to arrange it.
Even the lilies they had once placed in the vase had long withered and begun to smell.
The whole room was filled with a stale smell that hadn’t been ventilated for a long time.
The crowd looked at each other in astonishment, their faces turning pale one by one.
Theodore Morgan, the leader, immediately called Keaton.
Keaton, who had long been inspecting the wedding venue at the hotel, watched as the phone rang incessantly, and suddenly his eyelid started twitching uncontrollably.
He had to answer the phone with his eyelids drooping.
“Keaton, something bad happened…”
“Hurry up and spit for me, on my joyous day, I must speak auspicious words!”
Theodore was at a loss for words and his heart sank. “Keaton, Sariah never even moved in, and I heard from our neighbors that she had already thrown away all the belongings from our six years of love, including photo albums and wedding pictures!”
“What? Impossible! Sariah said she bought a seaside villa. Has she moved there?”
“Keaton, you should have told us earlier! You gave us a false alarm. Quickly send us the address of
the villa, and we will go there to deliver the wedding dress to your sister–in–law.”
Keaton on the other end of the phone suddenly froze.
He realized that he had no idea where the seaside villa I bought was.
