Chapter o
I sarcastically commented as I touched my empty stomach.
“Thanks to you, the child is gone.”
“She was killed by her biological father.”
awson was struck by lightning and took a few steps back.
“It’s impossible, you’re lying to me. Are you still madding at me?”
“By the way, the child was already seven months old, and premature babies could also survive.”
He came running towards me excitedly and hugged me tightly.
“I’m sorry, wife, I didn’t know that day you were going into labor.”
“I was a man, and that day when you publicly wet your pants, where did it leave my dignity? Please forgive me!”
“Where are the children? I’ll go and check on our children,”
Lawson excitedly ran to the nursery,
Opening the door, it was not the cozy and lovely room that we had once decorated together.
This place was arranged as a small memorial hall, with a small urn and an ultrasound photo of the child placed in the middle of the wall.
Lawson lost control of his composure, and he shouted angrily.
“No way, I don’t believe it. The doctor clearly said our child was healthy, how could she be gone?”
“You were lying to me, it must have been your way of getting back at me,”
I found it very funny.
“Do you remember how many times I asked for your help on New Year’s Eve? If only you had believed me then, the child wouldn’t have suffocated in my belly,”
“What were you doing, when our lives were in danger, you were cheating on me with other women.”
“Lawson, you were not human.”
Lawson stared at me blanky, still unwilling to believe.

“No, how could it be possible that he died?”
He approached hesitantly and wanted to touch my belly, but I sidestepped.
“Don’t touch me, you’re dirty.”
I handed him the divorce agreement that I had prepared early in the morning.
“I had plenty of evidence on hand, and you were at fault for the marriage. Our joint property is divided seven to three in my favor!”
Lawson breathed heavily, looking at me in disbelief.
“Do you want a divorce?”
“Our child is gone; don’t you want me anymore either?”
He looked excited and incoherently defended his actions.
“Tia, you cannot negate me just because of one mistake. We have been together for seven years, supporting each other through thick and thin.”
“I just got lost for a moment, can’t you give me a chance?”
“I promised to fire Elaina, and from now on, I will only have you,
What is the point of doing these now?
I answered him coldly.
“Wasn’t all of this today the result you wanted?”
Lawson shook his head with red eyes.
is that okay?”
“No, that’s not true. My intention was only to make you realize the importance of family. I wanted you to quit your job and be a happy homemaker. I was just using Elaina to provoke you. I only love you!”
I sneered and gave a sarcastic look.
“You made others call her sister–in–law, you publicly humiliated me through Elaina, and you slept with her. If this is your love for me, it’s just disgusting!”
“Because I was an orphan because I got pregnant because I lacked love, you had no fear in hurting me. You bet that I had no family, nowhere to go, and could only obediently let you manipulate me.”
“Your love disgusted me!”
