Chapter 5
Hearing the sound, Lawson ran over and kicked the bathroom door, venting his frustration. He
shouted angrily.
“Tiara, enough is enough. Stop trying so hard to get my attention. It’s pointless. After the New Year’s Eve is over, I will naturally let you out. Be quiet!”
I wanted to cry for help, but the sound that came out was dry, hoarse, and barely audible.
Blood kept flowing from under the body, while despair spread in the depths of the heart.
To punish me, Lawson dragged Elaina and pressed her against the bathroom door to intimidate me.
“Lawson, leave Elaina alone! Tiara is still in there and she will hear it.”
“Elaina is not an ordinary girl.”
Elaina’s reluctance to reject but rather welcome made Lawson even more excited.
I looked despairingly at the window, praying that someone would notice my distress jacket.
“Bang bang bang” “Bang bang bang”
The magnificent fireworks bloomed in the night sky as the new year arrived.
Lawson said gently outside the door.
“Happy New Year, my little wildcat.”
Elaina responded to him with an even more intense kiss.
“Meow Meow~ Meow~”
On the frosted glass door, their intertwined figures were visible.
Seeing this scene, memories of the past with Lawson kept replaying in my mind.
I was an orphan.
With excellent grades, I received a scholarship and made my way through college.
Lawson was my senior in college for two years, and I first met him at a campus recruitment event.
I, as an excellent student, went on stage to give a speech.
Confident, poised, and beautiful.
Chapter 5
Lawson said he fell in love with me at first sight and couldn’t stop thinking about me.
From that day on, he went around inquiring about my news and catering to his interests.
He pursued me fiercely.
Lawson came from a wealthy background, and I felt that we were not on the same level, so I firmly rejected him.
But he did not give up and persisted by my side for two years.
For the past two years, it has relentlessly pursued me, regardless of wind and rain.
I was an abandoned orphan, receiving very little love.
For the first time, someone valued me so much.
I agreed to his pursuit and we started dating officially.
We strolled on campus and kissed on the deserted streets.
It was the first time I have ever known what happiness feels like.
After we got together, I discovered that he was the illegitimate child of the Strickland family, and his mother was one of Sir Strickland’s many lovers.
He was very concerned about his background, so after graduation, he established his own company.
Lawson wanted to prove to the Strickland family that he could make a name for himself without relying on them.
I accompanied him to start a business, struggled, and made the company vibrant.
Everyone praised us as the golden boy and jade girl, a perfect match made in heaven.
We were each other’s redemption.
But everything changed after my pregnancy when my figure went out of shape.
My pregnancy symptoms were very severe, so Lawson asked me to quit my job and stay at home for childbirth to rest properly.
The child, which we had been eagerly waiting for seven years, was more important than anything else. I agreed.
After I left the company, Lawson hired a young and beautiful for
I have to admit that she was very beautiful, with an angelic face and a devilish figure.
The first time I saw Elaina was in the break room at Lawson’s office.
Lawson explained.
“This little girl is a new secretary, a junior in our major. Despite feeling uncomfortable during her menstrual period, she still insisted on coming to work. I didn’t want her to push herself too hard
and asked her to take a break.”
Elaina stuck out her tongue.
“Mrs. Strickland, I’m sorry. As a woman, I believe you can understand me!”
I felt very uncomfortable at that time and asked Lawson to be more mindful.
If she had a problem with her health, she should have taken leave and gone home, instead of lying on a married man’s bed with an S–shaped figure.
Lawson, however, said that I was too sensitive and advised me not to be too harsh on the young girl.
“Pregnant women tend to have a lot of wild thoughts, Tiara, you weren’t like this before.”
I was worried and thought it was my fault.
But later I found that he was getting closer and closer to Elaina.
There were women’s slippers and clothes for changing in the office that did not belong to me.
The pink pendant on the table, the loose powder in the office desk drawer.
After Lawson’s all–night absence, I discovered love bites on his neck.
I went crazy and interrogated him if he had cheated on me.
Lawson simply looked at me coldly and watched me go hysterical as if he was observing a madman.
“Are you done causing trouble?”
