Chapter 1
I was about to get married when my boyfriend suddenly told me that he had a five–year–old sister.
Because of the significant age difference, I suspected that she was his daughter, so I secretly tested
their DNA.
The result came out, and I realized I had overthought it. That night, I cried and apologized to my
boyfriend.
But when I finished speaking, my boyfriend had an incredulous look on his face, and his hand holding the test results was shaking.

Later, my boyfriend Kevin Smith took me to meet his parents.
I had been dating Kevin for almost two years. He was handsome, wealthy, and considerate, so much so that even my discerning best friend couldn’t find any faults in him.
I am almost thirty years old and have had a few boyfriends. In my opinion, Kevin can indeed be considered the best among them.
There were also good relationships in the past, but when it came to discussing marriage, the men didn’t understand when I said I didn’t want children. In the end, they chose to break up.
I understand that most families need and desire to have children. It is better to discus marriage than to argue about it afterwards.
Unlike Kevin, he told me that he also did not want children.

I asked him why, and he affectionately rubbed my nose, saying it was because he loved me and didn’t want me to suffer.
I asked him again what his parents were going to do, and he smiled mysteriously and said he had
his own way.
I chose to believe him.
On the way to the house, as I was searching for videos about meeting parents, Kevin sat beside me and casually mentioned, “Bella, I have a five–year–old sister.”
I casually responded with a sound, and then I startled, “… Huh?!”
Sister! She was five years
old!

I paused the video, looking at him in shock, “It seems like you have never told me before.”
Kevin’s expression remained calm as he touched his chin and made a puzzled face, saying, “Didn’t I mention it? Maybe she has been attending kindergarten all this time, and I forgot to mention it to
you.”
“Maybe it was because of my constant overtime, my mind was not functioning properly. I even thought you knew.”
After saying that, he also chuckled.
I, however, did not believe his excuse at all. He was a very filial person, always checking in on his parents every few days. When he made phone calls, I would sometimes be nearby, but I never heard
the sound of a child.
Unless, in the past two years, they intentionally didn’t want me to know.
Not to mention the age difference…
The age difference of a few years is considered normal, and I have people around me with that age difference. But Kevin is already thirty years old, and her sister is only five years old, is that difference. But Kevin is already thirty years old, and
possible?
I asked politely, “How come there is such a big age difference between you, and Jane is already so old, and she still wants to have children?”
Kevin immediately showed a helpless expression, “My parents were very lonely after I started working, and by the time I found out, the child had already been born.”
“I could only accept it, maybe because I was also feeling very uncomfortable, so I never mentioned
her in front of you.”
Seeing his helpless expression, I couldn’t bring myself to get angry with him.
But the impact was too great, with many doubts, so I turned my head and looked out the window.
I had a bold guess in my mind, which exploded to the point where I dared not think about it.
Is this sister actually his…?
I didn’t know why I thought like this, probably the aftermath of watching too many cheesy soap
operas.
When the car stopped, the door of his house was opened, and his parents were standing at the doorway, smiling at us.

I had to put away my bad mood, put on a smile, and give them the gifts I had bought.
His family was a literary family, and his parents were also people with temperament and
cultivation. I greeted the two elders, but paid more attention to his mother.
I couldn’t imagine that the gentle and well–mannered woman in front of me would choose to have a second child at almost fifty years old.
At that moment, a small figure dashed out of the house and unexpectedly hugged me, shouting in a
tender voice, “This is Sis Bella, my future sister–in–law, so beautiful!”
She held me tightly and kept calling Sis Bella non–stop.
Jane Smith sheepishly came over to catch me, but she still wanted to stick around with me.
I looked at the sweet–looking little girl with her hair tied up in twin ponytails in front of me and
realized that she was Kevin’s five–year–old sister.
The little girl took me by the hand and led me into the door, while she kept praising me non–stop
with her little mouth.
“Brother Kevin didn’t let me see you because he thought I was being noisy.”
“I really miss Sis Bella! No, I mean sister–in–law!”
“Did you marry my Brother Kevin yet?”
In the following time we spent together, I found that she was completely different from other
children of her age. Although I don’t like kids, she was just too well–behaved.
Even one could say that they were trying to please me.
She would pour water for me proactively, and she would also behave well during meals, not crying or making a scene, being clean and well–behaved.
It used to look at me with big eyes and act cute.

After dinner, Evan Smith and Jane Smith discreetly asked me when Kevin and I got married.
I felt it was a downer, but I still said it out loud, “Uncle and Aunt, I didn’t plan on having children.”
Little did Evan know that Jane completely agreed, nodding with a smile, without a trace of concern.
I felt a bit unreal. The Smith family, with such a large age, is going to have a second child. Can they accept that I am infertile?

Until I came out of their house, Kevin looked at my expression and relaxed, saying, “How was it? My parents don’t want you to have children. I told them a long time ago, and they all agreed.”
“And my younger sister, she’s very cute, right? Don’t be angry, I really didn’t mean to not tell you.”
I nodded with a smile and also felt that my previous thoughts were absurd.
After a while, Kevin said, jokingly or seriously, “At your age, you could totally raise Karen Smith as your daughter.”
