pureblood prince. Any human turned by him would naturally be stronger than your average
Laura smiled faintly, her tone casual as if she had spoken without thinking.
“But today, I’m not the only human to receive the King’s First Embrace. It’s already the seventh day. I wonder what she has become, and what kind of ability she’s awakened?“}
Gasps of curiosity rippled through the banquet hall.
“Is she talking about the human canary the King brought back?“}
“Serena, her scent is uniquely intoxicating. Her blood has always seemed different. I’ve always wondered if she was given the King’s blood, what ability would she inherit?”
Suddenly, all eyes turned toward me even in my absence, I had become the center of their attention.
Oliver’s face darkened, his voice sharp and tight.
“Laura, what nonsense are you spouting? When did Serena ever receive my First Embrace?“}]
For a moment, the weight of his fury and aura caused Laura to falter. But she quickly lowered her voice, soft and trembling.”
“Your Majesty, I only assumed. You’ve been feeding her your pureblood for seven days straight. I thought that maybe she inherited your power. Maybe, more than one.”
The room erupted into chaos.
“The King’s pureblood? For seven consecutive days?!”
“Impossible! If she absorbed that much, who knows how many divine abilities she awake
The crowd surged with anticipation. Voices clamored, demanding that Oliver bring me out to be seen.
At his side, his clenched fist opened then tightened again.”
“Serena hasn’t completed her transformation. She’s not ready to-”
Before he could finish, the butler stepped forward and shoved me into the hall.
“Your Majesty,” the butler said expressionlessly, “Serena has completed her transformation. I’ve brought her to you.“}
Gasps rose as nobles turned to stare.
Their fascination quickly turned to disgust.
Huddled in a corner, I trembled and growled, throat rasping with feral warning. The hunger and instinct clawing at me were impossible to restrain.}
A nearby noblewoman clutched her pearls in horror.
“My god, she’s a stray dog!”
The words rang through the marble hall like a death sentence.
It was the most degrading insult in the vampire world, stray dog. The title given to low–class vampires who had lost all dignity, all rationality. Beasts. Scum. A mistake never meant to exist.
“She has no awareness left. No control!“}
“She drank seven days of the King’s pureblood and still turned out like this? Her blood must be filth!”
“To waste such a divine gift, this is a disgrace!”
“This is an insult to the King, no, to all of vampire kind! Serena must be executed immediately before her existence tain
Oliver’s jaw tightened. His fingers clenched so hard, the wine glass in his hand shattered.”

“The Blood Moon hasn’t risen yet,” he said hoarsely. “Her transformation isn’t complete. It’s too soon to judge.”
But even he sounded unconvinced by his own words.
The crowd hesitated until Laura stepped forward, eyes glistening with false tears.
“Your Majesty, Serena is clearly a low–class vampire. You know it.”}
our name!”
“She attacked me, forcing you to turn me in self–defense. She drained you without restraint. A stray like her is not only a disgrace to this castle, but a threat.”
“Would anyone here feel safe feeding or sleeping while a beast like her prowls the halls, waiting to strike?”
Her voice was like poison in water, subtle yet deadly. And with it, she ignited the room once more.
One by one, the nobles turned to Oliver, their voices a chorus of veiled threats and righteous indignation.
