My Alpha Husband Hid His Identity-
Now He’s a Dangerous Maniac
It wasn’t until I swapped bodies with my
—
husband that I uncovered the truth he was
sleeping with his childhood sweetheart. Not
only was he slipping me poison in my food, but
he planned for me to raise their love child. My
parents died because of them, and now I was
on borrowed time.
I didn’t cry or scream. I quietly sold off assets,
maxed out credit cards, and took out every
high–interest loan I could find using his ID.
Then, with a single, decisive motion, I took a
knife and chopped off his dick. If he liked
cheating so much, I decided to personally turn
him into a eunuch!
I gasped, waking to a wave of heat next to me.
Slowly, I turned my head, my pupils shrinking.
It was Lacey, Josh’s childhood bestie.
<
She lay there naked, her hair a mess, her face
flushed from sex. She was dead asleep. The
image was unreal.
Six months ago, Lacey had insisted on taking
me to the summit for my birthday, even driving
to pick up my parents. But on the way, there
was a horrible car wreck. My parents were
killed and Lacey, too, died in that wreck. But
here she was, lying next to me?
Was this a dream?
I shot up in bed, shivering, my heart pounding.
My sudden movement disturbed Lacey. She rolled over, wrapping a soft arm around my waist. “Josh, you leaving already?” Her voice dripped with saccharine sweetness, sending a chill down my spine.
Josh? Why was she calling me that?
<
I looked down at my body.
A flat chest, strong abs, and… I shuddered as
my hand traveled south, finding a male
appendage. I nearly screamed. This wasn’t my
body!
Stumbling out of bed, I bolted to the bathroom
mirror.
The face staring back robbed me of breath.
The man in the mirror was handsome, but pale.
His eyes held stark terror. It was my husband,
Josh!
I reached out a shaky hand to touch my cheek. The “Josh” in the mirror mirrored the action. It
defied all reason.
I stared at the strange face. Before I could make sense of it all, a pair of soft hands wrapped around my waist from behind.
<
The warmth was real. This was no dream. She
was really here, alive.
“Josh…” Lacey purred, snuggling closer, her
fingers drawing circles on my chest. Her skin
still smelled of sex.
My stomach churned.
I bit my lip, fighting the urge to throw her off.
Not yet. I needed to understand what was
happening!
Lacey tilted her head, looking up at me expectantly. “When can we finally be together, openly? I can’t stand all this sneaking around
anymore.”
I ran a hand through her hair, trying to mimic Josh’s usual tone. “What’s wrong? We talked about this, right?”
Lacey pouted. “It’s just… even though you
<
slipped her that stuff to keep her from getting
pregnant… it still kills me to think our baby will
be raised with her name.”
Birth control? The words exploded in my head
like dynamite.
Five years of marriage. I hadn’t been able to
conceive. The mother–in–law’s glares, the
relatives‘ gossiping, round after round of IVF… I
even knelt in front of the Buddha for three
days, begging to give the family a child.
But no luck.
After my parents‘ car accident, I didn’t want to burden Josh. I had tearfully told him I would file for divorce. I’ll never forget his reaction. He framed my face with his hands, his eyes firm and gentle. “Liv, I only want you. If we can’t have our own kids, we’ll adopt.”
How twisted!
