Chapter 2
“You had a crush on Andrew for eight years, and finally managed to marry him. How could you suddenly be willing to leave?”
Katherine desperately held back her tears, “I wanted to regain my dreams.”
“Alright, the cancellation process will be completed in three days. I will give you an additional billion as compensation, on the condition that you never return to the country and never see him again.”
“No problem.”
Andrew’s father continued, “You still need to return the heirloom that I gave to the Thompson family daughter–in–law.”
Katherine agreed, “Okay.”
Five minutes later, Andrew’s father’s secretary brought her the divorce agreement and a bank card.
She did not hesitate at all and signed the agreement, handing over the Thompson family’s heirloom sapphire bracelet.
Katherine found her suitcase and started packing her things, but she saw her phone screen light up with a message from Andrew.
“Wife, have you gone to sleep? I am feeling a bit hungry. If you haven’t slept, could you cook some ravioli and bring it to room 1001?”
She stared at the message for ten seconds and then clicked the button to clear the chat history.
Then Katherine sat in front of the dressing table and cut off her waist–length hair, one strand at a time.
I saw myself saving him from a car accident, and he was carrying me as we ran towards the emergency room.
“Katherine, you hold on for me and don’t die. As long as you can survive, I will fulfill any request you have!”
“Will you marry me when my hair reaches my waist?” she asked weakly.
“I was willing!” the man tightly embraced her.
He always did what he said. After she recovered and was discharged from the hospital, he knelt down and proposed to her, and even planted a rose garden
for her with his own hands.
The sharp blade cut through her finger, causing a sharp pain, which instantly awakened Katherine and made her think of many details that she had previously overlooked.
Andrew never took her to meet his friends and family.
There was no grand banquet or wedding ceremony held on the day of the marriage.
Every night, he would come home and be solely devoted to being intimate with her. Apart from that, he would work in his study.
Looking back now, Andrew probably felt that she had a low status and would embarrass him if taken out.
Her only value was just a bed companion.
He clearly didn’t love.

How could she be so foolish to think that as long as she tried her best to be good to him, she could replace Sarah in his heart?
How childish and ridiculous it was!
Katherine took off her wedding ring and threw it into the trash bin.
She opened her computer and logged into Facebook, cleared all the content, and booked a flight to leave Westview three days later.
At night, Katherine fell into a deep sleep and noticed someone lying down beside her. They embraced her from behind.
She pushed open his tightly wrapped embrace and closed her eyes to doze off.
Just as Andrew’s arm reached out, the man’s voice surprised, “Katherine, why did you suddenly cut your beloved long hair?”
Katherine closed her eyes and didn’t respond. Suddenly, a warm line fell from the corner of her lips. “The silhouette of you with long hair resembles Sarah, but the eyes don’t.”
Her heart ached, and she clenched her sleeve tightly with her fingers. No wonder every time she turned her back to him, he would be particularly moved. It turned out that he mistook her for Sarah and was venting his desires.
She thought that, although he didn’t truly care about her, at least he loved her body.
She had really lost miserably in these eight years!
After a sleepless night, the next day when she was getting ready, she came across a news article about Andrew and an unfamiliar woman watching fireworks.

Although the media only captured a blurry silhouette of the woman, she still recognized her at first sight, it was Sarah!
“Katherine, come and have dinner.”
Andrew placed the dishes on the dining table.
She turned her face away, raised her hand to wipe away the tears that welled up in her eyes, and spoke in a cold tone, “I wasn’t hurtgry.”
Seeing her feeling down, he became curious and walked over to embrace her waist, saying, “If you feel bored staying at home, how about I take you to buy some of the latest fashion dresses later?”
Unable to resist his repeated persuasion, she had no choice but to agree.
The two of them had just arrived at the entrance of the studio when they bumped into Sarah, who was dressed in white, walking towards them.
