Chapter 21
Lara released Soren’s hand. She had already received Eleanor’s call while they were out, learning that Leander had been waiting at the door for her. When Soren heard this, he asked if she wanted to go to his house to avoid Leander for a day.
who
Elara refused everything. She wasn’t the one who had done wrong she didn’t need to avoid anything.
Similarly, she didn’t plan to hide from Leander that Soren was pursuing her, because whatever she did, Leander had no right to question it
Elara looked coldly at the man before her: “Who he is is none of your business.”
In an instant. Leander’s heart felt pierced by needles. On the plane, he had imagined countless possibilities, but he’d never expected that when he saw Elara again, she would be so cold to him, with someone new by her side.
Suffocating sensations came from all directions, wrapping around his neck as if to strangle him. Looking into those icy eyes for a long moment, Leander finally found his voice.
“Elara, I know you’re angry. I know I was wrong. Whether it’s Marla or my parents, I’ve dealt with everything for you. Come back with me, okay? We’ll remarry. I’ll never let you get hurt again.”
Leander trembled as he tried to reach for her, but Elara stepped away.
“We’re already divorced, Leander,” she said coldly.
“No!” Leander shouted suddenly. “That was all fake! I never truly wanted to separate from you. Elara, I really know I was wrong. Give me a chance to make it up to you, okay? I promise nothing will ever hurt you again!”
Leander cried out, his eyes filled with complex emotions, his pained voice evoking sympathy.
But Elara showed no reaction, calmly nodding.
“I understand, but I won’t forgive you. Go back, Leander.”
Her words had once been full of love, but now Leander could no longer feel any of it.
He panicked, looking at her pleadingly.
“Elara, I’m sorry, I was wrong before–I ignored you because I wanted a child so badly. I shouldn’t have distrusted you. Can you forgive me?”
Elara remained just as indifferent, showing neither resentment nor joy.
“I understand. I don’t care about any of that anymore.”
Leander’s heart sank as if sliced by a knife, his face turning pale.
“Are you still holding a grudge against me… I really know I was wrong. It took me so long to find you. Don’t drive me away, okay? Elara, give me one chance. I’ll definitely make it up to you.”
The man’s eyes reddened, his voice earnest and pitiful, as if he might shed tears for her at any moment. This was the first time Elara had seen Leander like this, but it was too late. Their relationship had ended the moment he presented that divorce agreement.
Elara didn’t respond to his words, just watched. In her calm eyes, there wasn’t a trace of love for him–not even hatred.
Leander’s heart felt crushed, making it hard to breathe. His voice trembling, he moved closer to his beloved.
“I know I did wrong, Elara. Trust me–not only have I dealt with myself, I’ve punished all those people for you. I won’t want children anymore. I only want you, Elara. I only want you…“.

She was right there, like bis salvation Leander wanted to pull her into his arms, but Soren pushed him away.
He looked up sharply, anger flashing in his eyes.
“Who do you think you are? Get lust!
Soren’s expression was serious, hus words cold.
“I in nothing sperisl, but I know that Clara doesn’t want to talk to you right now, and doesn’t want to see you.”
Soren’s intimate way of addressing her nearly drove Leander mad. He didn’t dare think about their relationship, hus voice trembling as he looked at Dara almost fearfully
Clara, tell me… who is this man really…“
The once–proud man knelt humbly before his beloved woman, ready to offer everything he had to show her his sincerity, his heart full of regret and
Pain
But Elara no longer needed it.
