The morning sunlight spilled through the sheer curtains, warning my son an augue awake. I blinked a few times, adjusting to the brightness, before turning my head o Scott lying beside me. His dark hair was tousled, his chest osing and falling susodily as he slept.
I smiled, warmth filling my chest as the events of the previous night came rusting toxi had been perfect–filled with love, trust, and promises for the future for the first time in what felt like forever, I felt truly at peace.

Scott sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. “Hannah, I’m so sorry about that should’ve told you about Emily before. I didn’t think she’d ever come back into my iffs, let alone try to cause problems for us.”
“Scott,” I said, my tone softening, “I just need to know I can trust you. I’ve been hurt before and I can’t go through that again.”
He cupped my face in his hands, his eyes earnest. “I swear to you, Hannah, I will never
I cheat on you. I will never make you feel like you’re not enough. You are my world, and f do whatever it takes to make this work.”
I searched his face, my heart swelling at the sincerity in his words. “Promise me.” whispered.
“I promise,” he said firmly. “I’ll never break your trust.”
I nodded, my throat tight with emotion. “I trust you, Scott. With all my heart. I don’t want to let go of you. I want to make this work.”
“We will,” he said, leaning in to kiss me gently.
The days that followed were blissful. We left for our honeymoon, a beautiful getaway at a private beach resort. The crystal–clear waters, golden sands, and secluded atmosphere felt like paradise.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink, Scott and I strolled along the beach, hand in hand. The warm waves lapped at our feet, and the salty breeze played with my hair.
“You know,” Scott said, breaking the comfortable silence, “I always imagined our honeymoon would be something like this. Just you and me, away from the world.”

We spent the evening talking, laughing, and reminiscing about our journey together. Every moment felt like a dream, and I couldn’t stop myself from falling deeper in love with him.
Later that night, as the soft sound of waves filled the air, Scott pulled me into his arms. His kisses were slow and tender, each one igniting a spark that grew into a fire. He whispered sweet words against my skin, making me feel cherished in a way I never had before.
We moved together as one, our breaths mingling as the world around us disappeared. It was intimate, passionate, and everything I had ever wanted.
The next morning, I woke up feeling completely at ease. I stretched lazily, the sound of birds chirping outside the window. Scott was already awake, sitting on the edge of the bed with a cup of coffee in hand.

Just as I was about to get out of bed, there was a knock at the door. I frowned, glancing at Scott. “Are we expecting someone?”
He shook his head, standing to answer the door.
As the door swung open, I froze. Standing there was a woman–a woman I instantly recognized from the photo. She looked disheveled, her eyes wide and frantic..
“Emily,” Scott said, his voice low.
She pushed past him, her gaze landing on me. “I need to talk to you,” she said, her voice. trembling.
“What are you doing here?” I demanded, my heart pounding in my chest.
Emily turned to Scott, her lips quivering. “I need to tell you something. I’m pregnant.”
The air seemed to leave the room, and for a moment, all I could do was stare at her. “What?” Scott said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I’m pregnant,” Emily repeated, her eyes darting between the two of us. “And it’s yours.”
A heavy silence fell over the room as her words sank in. My chest tightened, and tears. pricked the corners of my eyes.

Scott called after me, but I didn’t stop. My paradise had turned into a nightmare, and I had no idea what to do next.
