Savannah was investigated for drugging and other crimes, but her parents took the blame for her. In the end, she was acquitted, while they were sentenced to five and three years.
“Why did you all do this to me?!”
Hunter knelt on the ground, crying out in pain.
Just then, a courier stepped in front of him.
“Mr. Harrington? I have a document that needs your signature.“}
Hunter’s hand shook at the sight of the delivery. He still remembered the last terrifying package.
He felt the envelope and noticed a small booklet inside before finally signing for it.
“This must be from Ivy. I knew it, but she still can’t let me go,” he muttered as he tore it open. But the moment he saw the bold red words Divorce Certificate on the cover, he froze like he’d been struck by lightning.”
“How did things end up like this?”
His hands trembled as he pulled the booklet out. Then he collapsed to the ground like a lifeless weed, all strength drained from him.2 He rushed to the company building, only to see that the towering “Harrington” sign had already been replaced with a “Whitaker.” When he tried to enter, the security guards threw him out.”
“Well, well, isn’t this our once high–and–mighty President Harrington? Now you look more like a stray dog.“”
A familiar voice rang out. Hunter turned and saw one of his former lackeys leaning against a sports car with Savannah in his arms. “Savannah?”
Hunter’s face darkened as he glared at her.”
Savannah clung to the man’s waist, lazily drawing circles on his chest with her fingers. Watching their closeness, Hunter immediately understood.
“You bitch, Savannah! You made me lose Ivy, made me lose everything and now you’re humiliating me with the same dog who used to follow me around?“}
Savannah looked at him with nothing but contempt.
“You’re broke now. Don’t act like you’re still a CEO.”
“You’re not worth it.”
“You bitch! If you hadn’t pushed me back then, I never would’ve made such a huge mistake. This is all your fault!“}
Hunter rushed forward, but before he could reach her, the man slapped him hard across the face.}
“Trash like you wants to touch my woman?”
The man kicked him hard, knocking him to the ground, then followed with a brutal kick to the face.}
Hunter’s front teeth were knocked out on the spot and his mouth filled with blood.”
Savannah looked at his pathetic state, walked over and stomped on him with her high heel.}
“Savannah, I won’t let you get away with this!”
Hunter’s blood–covered face stared up at her in rage, but he was completely helpless.”
Savannah ground her heel into his stomach without mercy.
“Look at you now, just like a beaten dog.“}
“You still think you’re the mighty president of Harrington Corporation? I was only with you because of your status. Do you think I liked you? Don’t fool yourself. Now that you’ve lost everything don’t expect me to stay.””
She sneered, then spit on his face.
“To me, you’re nothing but a drowned rat.“@
Blood spilled from Hunter’s mouth as he glared at her.
“Savannah, you’ll get what you deserve.”}
