Hunter stood frozen. The box slipped from his hands and hit the ground.

“That bitch Ivy sent this. She’s taking revenge on us,” Savannah spoke through clenched teeth, her eyes filled with anger.

“What exactly did you do last night? Why did she lose the baby?“}
Facing Hunter’s cold, furious stare, Savannah hesitated, stammering before finally speaking.
“Hunter, I just did what we agreed on. I found her a man online! That’s all. I don’t know what he did to her!“}

“You said you never liked Ivy. Now that the baby’s gone, isn’t this perfect? You and Savannah can finally be together.“>
“Ivy has always been a problem. I bet she got rid of the baby herself. Next time I see her, I’ll make sure she learns her place.”
Just as she finished speaking, Hunter’s slap landed hard across her face.}
