Chapter 20
Due to Nathan’s arrangement, Silas was unable to enter Luna’s body and could only seek forgiveness from Luna in other ways.
That day, as usual. he hid nearby to spy on Luna’s life, but he didn’t expect that this time, Luna walked straight towards him.
He was overjoyed and couldn’t help but take two steps closer to her, saying, “Luna, have you finally forgiven me?”
“No, Luna said coldly, staring at Silas. “I have a boyfriend now, so please stop doing those things. It makes me uncomfortable, and my boyfriend. wouldn’t be happy about it either.”
Upon hearing Luna’s words, Silas was struck as if by lightning, his blood. almost freezing in his veins, unable to believe what his ears had just heard.
“What…what did you say? Silas staggered back two steps, his face pale and his lips barely curling into a smile. “Luna, are you joking with me?”
“No. Luna decisively shattered his illusion, saying, she suddenly waved her hand behind Silas, “Here!”
Silas followed her gaze and saw Nathan walking towards them, bathed in light
He walked up to Luna and stood in front of her, Luna took his hand.
“Let me introduce, this is my boyfriend, Nathan!”
Watching the two of them standing together in an intimate manner, Silas’s mind went blank. When he finally realized what was happening, he
crazily rushed forward and pulled them apart.
“No, no!”
“You can’t be with him. Luna. You love me.”
The two of them were pulled by him, causing one of them to stumble. Silas held Luna’s wrist tightly, his grip getting tighter and leaving a red mark on her wrist.
Luna frowned and said sharply. “Let go of me!”
“No! Silas’s voice was sharp.”
Nathan saw that something was wrong and quickly stepped forward to pry Silas’s hand open, shielding Luna behind him.
“She already told you not to bother her anymore, can’t you understand. human language?”
Nathan frowned and said sternly.
“What are you, to come and meddle in my and Luna’s affairs? Silas saw Nathan, feeling a surge of anger inside him. He even wanted to reach out and pull Luna away. Seeing this, Nathan quickly signaled to the people around him.”
The bodyguard rushed out and grabbed Silas. Silas struggled for a few moments but couldn’t break free. He shouted at Luna, “Luna, you lied to me, didn’t you? You were never with Nathan, were you?”
Luna reached out and intertwined her fingers with Nathan’s, holding them. up in front of Silas for him to see clearly.
“I didn’t lie to you, don’t come looking for me again, Luna said coldly.”
Silas’s face was ashen, the light in his eyes dimming little by little, and he
couldn’t stop muttering. “You lied to me, you must have lied to me…”
The bodyguard dragged him away, and he no longer struggled. Luna saw him like this and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She didn’t know if Silas would give up in the end, but at least from the way he looked, she wouldn’t be bothered by Silas again in the short term.
She turned her head to look at Nathan, who had come over on purpose, and said seriously. “Thank you for helping me with this favor.”
Nathan smiled and said, “It’s my fault. I didn’t handle the terms of the agreement properly, which led him to find you. It’s all on me.”
Luna also showed a faint smile, the trouble was temporarily resolved, and her mood also improved a lot.
“No matter what, you helped me, and I should thank you. In the future. if you need any help, as long as it’s something I can do, I will do my best to help.”
After speaking, she thanked him again earnestly, said goodbye, and turned around to go home.
Nathan watched her back as he pursed his lips. During this period of time together, he suddenly understood why Silas had been attracted to her in the first place, relentlessly pursuing her to bring her home, because he, too, had unknowingly developed feelings for her during their time together.
His hand hanging by his side tightened, and he suddenly called out to Luna.
“Ms. Jackson, wait! He watched as Luna turned to look at him, taking two steps to stand beside her.”
He was a head taller than Luna, so he had to slightly lower his head to
look at her. Luna tilted her head back, her eyes shining brightly.
Sweat oozed from his palms, his heart pounding like a drum, too nervous
to speak.
“Ms. Jackson. I…”
