Chapter 15
Silas was taken to the police station, still not fully sober from his alcohol. He was handcuffed and placed in a comer, while the girl who called the police rambled on about what had happened.
The police officer took out his phone, looked at it, and dialed a number
from his contacts..
In a moment, a man hurried over.
It was his brother, Lorenzo Joseph.
When Lorenzo entered the police station, he saw Silas, who was drunk and disoriented. He had advised him to quit drinking many times before. but Silas never listened. Lorenzo had stopped caring, but he never expected him to cause such trouble.
He ran around trying to persuade her, and then he apologized to the victimized girl alone and gave her some money. Only then did she agree not to report Silas for sexual harassment.
Lorenzo resolved the remaining issues, and both parties reached a settlement. He walked towards Silas, intending to take him away first.
Before the girl left, she gave Silas a last uncertain look. As she walked. past Silas, who was still not fully awake, he caught her movement and suddenly sprang on his hands making a loud clattering
sound as he pup, the handcuffs
“Luna, don’t go!”
them.
The girl was startled again, quickly avoiding him and leaving in a hurry.
Seeing him like this, Lorenzo couldn’t bear it anymore and stepped forward to give him a hard slap!
“With a loud “smack“, the sound of a slap echoed loudly in the quiet room.”
“Silas, wake up. Look at yourself. I warned you not to treat Luna like that, but you insisted. Now that she knows the truth and has left, you regret it. Who are you trying to impress with this behavior now?”
“Luna, she wouldn’t come back anymore!”
Lorenzo was filled with anger in his eyes as he looked at Silas. He felt somewhat resentful that Silas had not lived up to his expectations. The two had grown up together since childhood, and Lorenzo naturally did not want to see Silas turn out this way.
Silas’s muddled mind finally cleared up from the slap, the fiery pain on his face bringing him back to reality. He blankly held his face and said, “No. Luna wouldn’t leave me.”
He looked up at Lorenzo with a pitiful expression, “When I went
bankrupt, she never left my side. Now that I’ve just made a small mistake, she will come back, right?”
Lorenzo pursed his lips and said, “If only I had known earlier, why did I have to do it in the first place!”
Silas felt a sourness in his nose, tears streaming down his cheeks as he cried uncontrollably.
“Lorenzo, I regret it, I miss her so much, what should I do? How can I win her back?”
Lorenzo sighed and advised him, “Luna is not coming back, you might as well let go sooner.”
Η
“You know her personality, even if she sees you again, she won’t forgive
you.”
Silas clenched his fists tightly, “I will not give up.”
“Lorenzo, no matter whether she will forgive me or not, at least I need to
find her first!”
Lorenzo laughed at Silas’s clueless look, grabbed his collar, and made him. look up at him. “Silas, where did you go to find her?”
“She sold her shares to Nathan, she must have made a deal with Nathan. Nathan wants to hide someone, you won’t be able to find them!”
“I’ll go find Nathan! Silas said. “He must know where Luna is!”
“Nathan won’t tell you! Lorenzo could only think Silas had gone mad. “After competing with you for so many years, he finally found a chance to outdo you. How could he possibly let you have your way?”
“You can give up on this hope!”
“No! Silas stood up. “No matter what it takes, I will find her!”
