Chapter 14
He lay on the ground, fumbling for the bottle on the floor, then tilted his head back and poured it into his mouth.
The wine bottle was empty, he searched around but found that all the wine in the house had already been drunk by him.
He staggered out of the door, bought a large pile of various types of wine. and walked back home while drinking.
During this period of time, he had become addicted to alcohol, relying on it to numb himself, his steps floating and weak.
He staggered down the street, not knowing what he had tripped over. He couldn’t control himself and fell forward, spilling the wine he was carrying all over the ground. He struggled to get up, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t. He just lay there, powerless.
His consciousness gradually became blurred, the temperature outside also dropped gradually, and he was only wearing a short–sleeved shirt, his fingertips frozen stiff.
I don’t know how long had passed when a female voice sounded in front. of him: “Sir, sir?”
“Are you okay?”
Silas looked over at the sound and saw a girl crouching in front of him, reaching out with a slender white finger to poke him carefully.
He opened his hazy eyes, and the scene in front of him went from blurry to clear. He shook his head and looked at the person in front of him, whispering softly, “Luna?”
The girl noticed that something was wrong with him, so she quickly took. out her phone and dialed 110. While dialing, she asked. “Sir, are you feeling okay?”
Was
She looked at Silas with some concern. As the weather getting colder, she could see Silas lying on the ground not far away. She didn’t want to get involved, but her soft heart eventually prevailed. She couldn’t help but go forward to check on Silas.
After realizing that the person was still conscious, she immediately dialed 110.
“Sir, do you remember where your home is? When the police arrive, they can take you back there!”
The girl squatted near Silas, who wriggled on the ground. With a sudden burst of strength, he pushed himself up from the ground and knelt down.
The scene before him became clearer and clearer. “Luna, you’re back?”
He remembered the day when he first met Luna, she was also crouching in front of him like that, asking him softly if he was okay.
The woman saw his movement of sitting up and felt wary, but when she saw that he remained still for a while, she gathered up her courage and continued to ask, “Sir, do you still have…”
She hadn’t finished speaking when Silas suddenly moved. He crawled two steps on his knees to the front of the girl and suddenly hugged her.
“Luna, Luna, I knew you couldn’t bear to leave me behind. You came back to save me, didn’t you?”
The girl was startled by Silas’s sudden move, and her phone “popped” out of her hand and fell to the ground, just as the call was answered.
The smell of alcohol on Silas made her mind go blank, and when she
realized it, she struggled violently, “What are you doing, let me go!”
The girl’s face turned bright red, she was extremely scared, and even her voice started to tremble.
Silas, however, disregarded everything and held the person tightly in his arms, nervously saying, “Luna, you’re finally back!”
“I am not your Luna, sir. I have already called the police. You better let go. of me, or I can sue you for harassment!”
The girl’s struggling became more and more intense, but Silas, after all. was an adult man and in a drunken state. The girl couldn’t break free for a while.
She could only shout at the phone on the ground, “Help, someone is molesting me!”
Silas was not moved at all, he was immersed in his own world, murmuring Luna’s name constantly.
The sound of sirens approached from a distance, and he seemed to hear someone nearby scolding, “Sir, please release this young lady, or else we will have to take enforcement action.”
He only felt the noise, holding the girl tightly in his arms and not letting go. Seeing this, the police officers rushed over, and each pulled his hands apart, pressing him to the ground.
His cheeks grazed the ground, feeling a sharp pain from the friction. He watched as the girl’s face, filled with fear, moved further and further away from him. Unable to control himself, he struggled and shouted, “Luna, don’t leave me!”
