Chapter 12
“Silas. Rachel called out to him, taking two steps forward to his side. Just as she was about to say something, she noticed the divorce certificate he was holding in his hand.”
She paused for a moment, a huge surprise appearing on her face. She grabbed his arms and said, “Silas, have you divorced Luna?”
The smile at the corner of her mouth couldn’t be suppressed, and she continued on her own: “Great, we can finally be together openly and honestly!”
With that, she held Silas tightly, as if she could already see her future as Mrs. Stellon.
So
Silas was stunned by her words, then suddenly pushed her away. His expression instantly turned cold, and his lips weakly twitched as he said, “Let’s end it here. I will give you some money, but please don’t come looking for me again.”
“What did you say? Rachel’s face turned pale, she couldn’t understand why Silas had changed so much in just one night.”
Just yesterday, the two of them were still cuddling in bed.
She grabbed his hand nervously and said, “Silas, Luna has already left. There’s no one standing in our way anymore. Can’t we just be together like this?”
“No! Silas pushed her away. “My wife will only ever be Luna.”
Rachel stumbled as she was dumped, her mind went blank. She had always thought that with Silas’s favor towards her, as long as he divorced
Luna, she would naturally become his wife.
But what did she hear“? Did he say his wife would only ever be Luna?
What does that make her these past few years?
She came to her senses, grabbing Silas tightly and asked incredulously, “Are you joking?“.
“Silas, you loved me so much, you even pretended to be poor to punish Luna for me, how could you not marry me?”
“You and Luna have already divorced, only I will always be by your side!”
Silas looked at her coldly and said, “I wasn’t joking.”
“Even if Luna and I got divorced, the position of Mrs. Stellon would not be yours to take!”
He warned the other party, “If I were you, I would take the money and leave now!”
After saying that, he no longer looked at Rachel and walked out.
Rachel had worked so hard for so long, how could she be willing to give up so easily? Compared to becoming Mrs. Stellon, she didn’t care at all about the money Silas gave her.
She took two steps forward and stood in front of Silas, “I won’t leave, Silas. I love you, I love you so much!”
“If you are not willing to marry me, then I… Her eyes darted around, and suddenly she rushed to the table, picked up the fruit knife and held it against her own neck. “Then I might as well die!”
Silas was frozen in place by her actions, he stared at Rachel for a while,
his deep eyes making Rachel feel uneasy.
From the moment Luna left, Silas‘ heart felt like it was missing half of itself. His emotions would only fluctuate because of Luna, and no longer be influenced by others.
If he had realized this earlier, he wouldn’t have cheated in the marriage, hurting Luna for so long and causing her to finally give up and leave.
“Then you can just go die, Rachel.”
“You died, which can be considered as making amends to Luna.”
His tone was extremely indifferent, making Rachel shiver uncontrollably.
She watched as Silas walked further and further away, the knife in her hand falling to the ground with a “clang“.
She was furious and shouted at Silas, “Silas, you have done so many outrageous things to Luna, do you think she will forgive you? You must be dreaming!”
Silas paused for a moment and said coldly, “I will find her and apologize to her in person.”
Rachel laughed and sneered, “You know everything she has done to you, you know her personality, once she discovers betrayal, she will never turn. back? Not to mention, she also saw the photo of us in bed.”
“You will never be able to catch up with her again!”
She knew Luna was someone who couldn’t accept betrayal, so she sent her a provocative message. She repeatedly kept Silas away from her, knowing that once Luna found out the truth, she would definitely leave decisively. And the fact turned out just as she had expected.
Silas’s footsteps halted once again, he turned around and looked at Rachel
with a cold gaze, “Did you send her the photo of us together?”
