Chapter 2
Olivia hadn’t woken up yet, and Hades refused to leave her side, ignoring his own injuries in the process. Even the doctors couldn’t stand it anymore and asked me to try talking some sense into him.
One look at his knee told me it had stopped bleeding, but its shape looked distorted, and the injury seemed dislocated.
I said, “The doctor says your leg injury is serious. Why don’t you let them take a look while I stay with Olivia?”
Hades glared at me, annoyed. “I’m a man. What can a small injury like this do to me? Besides, Olivia will probably cry if she doesn’t see me when she wakes up.”
I clicked my tongue. Olivia was already 20 years old and no longer a child who cried at everything.
She loved clinging to Hades, calling him flirtatiously.
