Chapter 150
D
Third Person’s POV
The first rays of sunlight slipped through the curtains and warmed Sadie’s face.”
Smiling, she finally tapped “Send.“”
She didn’t add any comments. She didn’t try to explain. She just laid the truth out there for the world to see.
And just like that, the same netizens who’d been tearing her apart a moment ago instantly turned their rage toward Melanie and Denton.\
[Denton must be blind! He destroyed his own son for her?]}
[Mick’s heart wasn’t even a match?! Then why did he take it? That man’s a murderer!]}
A tidal wave of fury swept across the internet, drowning both of them in hate and disgust.
At the same time, all those online trolls who once flooded Sadie’s name with filth were now watching in horror as their own phones and computers betrayed them.”
Their chat logs, their payment screenshots, and every dirty message they were paid to post about me were now being sent to their family, friends, coworkers, and bosses.}
[So this is what you’ve been doing online?]
You’re one of those trolls? You get paid to ruin people’s lives?“”
[People like you shouldn’t even be allowed to live.]
Social media exploded with screenshots and videos of these trolls being canceled in real life.
As for Melanie, she panicked and refused to pay the trolls their remaining fees, which was a big mistake because that only made things worse.
Now, furious and desperate, those same trolls ran to the media and started spilling everything.”
[Melanie paid us to spread lies about Sadie!]
[She told us to call her a prostitute and say her son died of shame!]
[We have proof! She’s a vile, manipulative woman!]
In a matter of hours, Melanie and Denton were at the center of a global PR disaster, and their reputations were shattered like glass.”
With this issue circling around, Denton’s office was in chaos. His phone rang nonstop with business partners canceling deals.”
His stock prices instantly plummeted, causing the company to be on the brink.
L
He sat at his desk, staring at the flood of negative press on the screen, his face pale with rage, and veins bulging on his forehead.[
“AHHH!” he roared and slammed the monitor off the desk, sending it crashing to the floor.
That was when Melanie burst into the room, her face white as a sheet, panic in her eyes.”
“Denton! Don’t believe them!” she cried, throwing herself into his arms, sobbing. “That bitch Sadie made all this up! She’s just jealous of us, jealous that you chose me!”
But he shoved her off, his eyes narrowing with suspicion.”
He wasn’t stupid. The internet was flooded with proof. The trolls had turned against her. And now, even he was starting to doubt everything.
“Denton, please,” she whispered, looking up at him with wide, teary eyes. “You know I’d never do drugs. I’d never cheat on you. I love you. How could I ever betray you?”
Then, suddenly, she grabbed his hand and placed it gently over her stomach.
“Denton, I’m pregnant. It’s your child. I wanted to surprise you, but with everything happening, I’m scared. I’m scared the baby won’t make it.“D
Denton froze.
‘Pregnant? My child?‘ words echoed in his head.
He looked at her tear–streaked face, then down at the hand resting on her belly. And just like that, all the doubts and hesitation vanished in an instant.
“You you’re serious?” His voice trembled.
Melanie nodded hard, tears spilling down again.
Watching Denton fall for Melanie’s lies again, Sadie coldly laughed.
‘Pathetic. He’ll never know what he truly lost, she thought.
