Matt was shouting loudly at the door, but Marissa didn’t come out. Instead, it was Mr. and Brenna who walked to the door.
“How dare you come here! Brenna was filled with anger when she saw him.”
Matt knew he was in the wrong, and it was only natural for the Jiang family to dislike him. However, he was just too eager to see Marissa. He immediately recognized one of them as Marissa. Before Matt could even feel happy, he noticed a stranger standing next to Marissa, and they were holding hands!
He saw Marissa’s expression, which was amused by something she heard, and felt a pain in his heart. He went straight up to her.
“Marissa! Who is this person!”
Marissa let go of Dwayne’s hand. She had received a call from Jiang’s mother while she was still outside, knowing that Matt had been waiting for her at the door. When Dwayne heard about it, he also asked her if she wanted to go to his house to avoid Matt for a day.
Marissa refused all of it. She was not the one who did something wrong, so she had nothing to escape from.
