Chapter44
But Megan turned her head and saw the two people standing at the door, and she froze on the spot!
Erwina looked at Gustav,

and she smiled sweetly,
“Commander, what’s wrong? You even brought flowers. Are these flowers for me?”
Looking at his pretty little wife, with her eyes shining, Gustav still kept a cool face. “Yeah.”
Erwina took the rose and smelled a light, fresh scent.
Flowers in the interstellar age were really a luxury, and roses were even more expensive.
But for Gustav, with his Top Commander title and royal status, he could get a planet’s worth of roses.
It was just that the scene of the cold–blooded, ruthless Commander Mullen holding a bunch of bright red roses was such a big contrast.
At that moment, Erwina was holding a bunch of roses and then realized that Wynfield also had a bunch of roses in his hand, and they were pink.
Her eyebrows moved a little, “Wynfield, you came too? Your flower…”
Wynfield felt really bitter inside, and his hand holding the bouquet tightened a little again.
He got a call from his dad and heard that the Schrader family wanted Erwina to be in charge of the District I branch of the Schrader Restaurant,

so they wanted him to fix his relationship with Erwina.
Back then, it was them who said, Don’t spoil Erwina too much.
It was also them who told Wynfield to make sure to cheer up Erwina.
The Schrader family got a new supply chain, so they didn’t really need the Cowan family anymore. And in the whole United Empire of Planets, there weren’t any other restaurants big enough to need that much fruit and veggie supply.
If the huge stockpile of fruits and veggies couldn’t be sold, they would all rot and go bad.
The Cowan family couldn’t afford a loss like this.
The Cowan family kind of regretted their earlier impulse and didn’t want to cut ties with the Schrader family, so they let Wynfield take the lead.
And Wynfield himself, of course, couldn’t bear to part with Erwina.
He stubbornly thought that Erwina must have had some hidden reason for marrying Top Commander, so he kept trying to win Erwina back.
But now that cold Top Commander was just standing next to me, and whenever he wasn’t talking, he was full of killer vibes.
So Wynfield gave a dry laugh, “I just came to see if Meg’s leg was better.”
Erwina said oh and didn’t care at all. She turned around and took Gustav’s
arm.
“Commander Mullen, my grandpa wanted to meet you, is that okay?”
Being hugged on the arm by his little wife so affectionately, Gustav felt at bit unaccustomed, but he didn’t mind. He nodded, “Okay.”

“That’s great, wait for me to tidy up these files, my grandpa was in the tea room in the back.”
“Yeah.”
And over here, Megan finally snapped out of it.
She was startled by the sudden appearance of the two and didn’t know how much of what she just said they had heard.
Then Erwina showed off again and stuffed my face with dog food.
was just so mad and annoyed.
But after hearing what Wynfield said, Megan actually showed a hint of surprise on her face.
She immediately walked over to Wynfield, looking all sweet. “Wyn still cares about me. My leg is much better now, don’t worry. Wow, these flowers are so pretty. Are they for me?”
Wynfield didn’t care what Megan said, just shoved the roses into Megan’s
hand.
He watched Erwina pack up and leave with Gustav, and the bitterness in his eyes couldn’t be hidden anymore.
Wynfield pulled his hand out of Megan’s arms, “Meg, what exactly went wrong with your flyer that day?”
“Wyn, I…”
Wynfield looked at Megan a bit disappointed and said, “I’ve always seen you as a little sister, that’s why I’ve been so nice to you. I didn’t expect that, even though you knew the one I loved was Wina, you still did that!”

Megan’s heart sank.
Wynfield really did hear what was just said.

Erwina and Gustav stood on the carpet embroidered with auspicious. clouds, and she naturally pulled her hand back.
Gustav looked down at her.
Erwina didn’t really get what this Commander Mullen was thinking, so she just said, “Did you come to see me for something?”
“No need to use honorifics, we’re a married couple.”
“Okay, fine. So you came to see me, besides bringing flowers, was there something else?”
Gustav stopped and saw that his little wife had already put away her sweet look from before and was looking at him seriously.
Although polite, the distant attitude made Commander Mullen a bit annoyed.
He said, “I came to pick you up and take you home.”
