Chapter29
“Maybe he was just too busy, the school invited him every year, but he never had time to come?” Erwina guessed it must have been like that.
I didn’t have time in previous years, so I definitely didn’t have time this year either!
She felt relieved and went to the dorm first.
Their Medical School dorm had both guys and girls in the same building. Someone once asked why they didn’t separate them, and a senior who had graduated years ago gave an explanation.
That senior said, In front of a scalpel, people barely care about species, let alone about gender.
Everyone suddenly understood!
The dorms at the Medical School were all three–bedroom suites with a shared living room. Each of the other three rooms had its own bathroom, and all kinds of appliances you needed for daily life were there. It was really convenient.
When Erwina swiped her Starphone to get her student info in, there were already people living in the rooms on the east and west sides. The doors were shut tight. Only the door to the middle room was open, showing that no one had moved in yet.
Erwina first sent the robots a location message, telling them to bring the luggage over.
After she finished packing all her luggage, her two roommates still hadn’t

opened the door.
Looks like both of her roommates were not easy to get along with!
But that thing didn’t matter right now. What mattered was, Erwina decided to keep praying, hoping that Gustav wouldn’t show up at the freshman opening ceremony later!
If the opening ceremony didn’t count for credits, Erwina just wanted to skip it!
In the next half day, Erwina quickly got to know everything about the school and also had a meal in the cafeteria.
I have to say, the food in the cafeteria was way worse than what she had
at home.
But thinking about it, it made sense. People back then didn’t care about food because they didn’t have much.
Other schools didn’t even have cafeterias, and the school just gave students nutrient solution to drink.
That meant only Empire University, as the top school in the whole United Empire of Planets, had something as rare as à cafeteria.
But Erwina was really picky. She remembered there was a big empty space in the dorm living room. She could ask her two roommates later and see if they could turn that empty spot into a simple kitchen.
Of course, it wasn’t convenient to live at school, so after a while she needed to buy a place, which would make it easier for her to do livestreams later.
In a blink, it was almost 2 p.m., which was the time for the opening
ceremony.
Chapter29
When Erwina was about to push the door and go to the hall, the door on the left opened first, and a red–haired curly girl came out.
The girl had deep eyes and brows, and her skin was really fair. When she saw Erwina, she paused for a second.
Erwina smiled generously, “Hi, I’m Erwina from the medical department.”
“Which district were you from?”
“District III.”
I heard it was District III. The red–haired girl still looked proud, didn’t introduce herself, flipped her long hair, turned around and left, not waiting for Erwina at all.
Erwina didn’t get upset, either. Empire University was the top school in the whole United Empire of Planets, so there must have been a lot of talented people here.
Some were nobles with strong backgrounds, some were super smart geniuses, and some were geniuses with strong backgrounds.
This roommate of mine was probably someone important.
Erwina was just about to leave, when another door opened and a pretty girl with short brown hair walked out.
The other person looked at Erwina, “You have to wear your uniform to attend the opening ceremony.”
The uniforms were just handed out to the students, and there was an all- in–one washing machine. You just threw them in, and three minutes later they were washed, dried, and ironed.
“Thank you. There was still time. Did you want to go to the auditorium

together?”
“Okay.”
Erwina was drying her school uniform and chatting with her new roommate. She found out her name was Hannah Reynolds, they were in the same major, and she was from District X.
Hannah saw that when she said District ?, Erwina was really calm. Actually, Hannah herself was a bit surprised.
She came here, and after people heard she was from District X, a lot of them looked at her with surprise, dislike, or sympathy.
Turns out, my new roommate didn’t even frown?
Hannah frowned a little and was just about to say something when the dorm door beeped again. The red–haired girl who had just left rushed
back in.
