Chapter 22 Master_Chef
The new semester would be starting soon, and Megan was set to
leave for Empire University, District I.
With her gone, things at home could settle down.
Whatever happened between Ethan and Elaine after that,
Erwina had no plans to get involved.
Back in her room, she told Ayla, “Lock the door. Set up for the
live stream.”
“Yes,” Ayla replied.
She’d turned the space next to her bedroom into a hidden, fully
equipped kitchen for streaming.
She never showed her face, only her hands.
It had been two years since she woke up, and her account,
Master Chef, already had over fifty million followers.
That made her one of the biggest names on Galaxy Live.
“The chef’s here! What delicious magic are we getting today?”
Comments flew across the screen, and live gifts came pouring

- in.
She flicked on the voice changer; her voice came through as a young man’s. “Thanks for tuning in. Today’s recipe is a long–lost
classic–salt–baked fish. Back on ancient Earth, they used carp or
tuna, but since those are extinct, I’m using sea bass. Closest thing
we’ve got.”
These days, most people didn’t even know how to make risotto.
It looked simple, but getting the ingredients and heat right took
real skill.
Since most people now lived on nutrition packs and couldn’t afford a proper restaurant meal, watching cooking streams became a real joy.
It was also why Erwina’s fanbase grew fast, even without showing her face.
What made her channel stand out was the food itself. Most viewers had never even heard of the dishes she made, but they all looked delicious.
She sliced the fish with a flourish, then cleaned and gutted it in one seamless motion.
“I envy that fish. It got to touch the chef’s hand.”

“Forget the fish. I want to be that knife. Then he’d hold me every
day!”
“Am I the only one jealous of the chef’s family? They actually
get to eat all this!”
The comments went wild.
Victor was glued to the screen, practically drooling. Next to him, Gustav was flipping through files, clearly losing patience. “Make another sound, and I’m shutting you down,” Gustav said coldly.
“But Master_Chef’s cooking looks insane! I know I can’t taste it,
but can’t I at least imagine?” Victor groaned.
Gustav didn’t answer, his eyes still on the page.
Victor fell silent, scared. He’d been following Master_Chef for
nearly two years and still had no idea who the streamer was.
His curiosity piqued, he decided to find the chef and bring him in to cook for Gustav just once.
He was convinced Gustay wouldn’t question his taste after that.
He swallowed, even though he didn’t have any saliva, and accessed the central system.
Falcon thought it was Gustav and answered right away.

“Commander, do you need something?”
Victor: “Nah, it’s me. Can you pull up a streamer’s ID? I want the
full profile!”
Falcon gave a disapproving snort.
Victor: “Come on, Mr. Mullen hasn’t been eating much lately,
and this chef makes the best dishes. I want him to cook
something for Mr. Mullen.”
Falcon: “You’re a system. What do you even know about food?”
Victor: “Reviews! Don’t you ever shop online? First thing you check before buying anything is the reviews, okay?”
Falcon didn’t bother arguing. But if it was for Gustav, it was worth checking.
Royalty and the top commander had the clearance.
A few seconds later, Falcon saw the result and froze.
