I opened my mouth, frantically fanning my tongue with my hands. Thankfully, the corner was hidden enough that not too many people noticed.
Hanson smiled–something I rarely saw–and tapped my nose playfully. “Let me take you to get some water.”
He then led me to his suite on the top floor. Oh, right, how could I forget this hotel was owned by the Gabe family?
Before we even reached the suite, the alcohol hit me, and I leaned woozily on Hanson’s shoulder.
I grabbed his face and yelled, “You jerk!” Then I bit his chin, hard.
What happened next is a blur, but I remember feeling like a dying fish being revived by the ebb and flow of the tides, my breath returning with each wave, and eventually, I was back in the boundless ocean.
When I opened my eyes again, I was lying in Hanson’s bed.
Hanson propped his head up with one hand, just staring at me.
I raised my hand to rub my still–ringing head. Alcohol and lust are dangerous.
Hanson gently took my hand and kissed it tenderly. At that moment, I felt my heart skip a beat, but then I quickly came to my senses.
As I got dressed, I said, “It’s not like it’s the first time we’ve slept together. Since your skills aren’t bad, I’ll give you 500 dollars.”
I reached for my phone to transfer the money, only to realize my phone had died.
To hide the awkwardness, I cleared my throat, “Ahem, I’ll owe it to you this time. I’ll pay it next time.”
Hanson seemed amused. “So when do you plan to sleep with me again?”
Depends on your performance.”
With that, I quickly made my escape.
After that night, Hanson started showing up every few days, claiming he needed to discuss his fiancée’s custom wedding dress. Even when he didn’t come, he’d send flowers through his new assistant.
Since I believe in the principle of never turning down money, I forced myself to bring my laptop to the VIP room to ask about his design preferences.
Hanson just looked at me and casually said, “What do you think?”
“I think you should leave this room, walk out the door, and keep going as far as you can
Later that evening, as I scrolled through social media, I saw an announcement that Hanson had officially taken over as chairman of his company. The news also mentioned that the former chairman had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
So, everything he said was true?
