Chapter 13
At Carson’s birthday party, I saw the group of friends who taught him to pursue girls slowly and steadily.
Originally, I thought they were all a bunch of losers like him.
The result was that their personalities were completely opposite to Carson’s.
One after another, they became more refined, reserved, and distant.
The most excited expression was just smiling and saying, “Nice to meet you, nice to meet you,” when seeing me.
How long did it last?
The birthday banquet that I didn’t have time to attend three years ago.
Carson told them to bring a girl over.
How strange it was
Carson, who has always been indifferent to the wealthy girls in the circle, surprisingly became gentle in tone when mentioning that girl
They had to take it seriously.
I had prepared early.
Unfortunately, I hadn’t met that girl yet, but I did come across Carson, who was half–dead.
That was the first time they saw Carson, who was once lawless and untamed, being thrown into Welltown to live alone and still fearless, become so fragile. =
It seemed that with the slightest carelessness, one would sleep forever.
The doctor suggested speaking more words that could stimulate him.
They had never seen that girl and didn’t know her name.
Every time he came to visit, he could only say one sentence, “We were still waiting for you to introduce the girl at the birthday banquet.”
Fortunately, after persistently speaking for over a year, Carson opened his eyes on an ordinary evening.
Grandfather Carson came to the hospital and told him, “Whether you want to go back to your country to see people or get married, I won’t stop you, but you have to stand up for me, stand tall, and stand firm.”
After that, he started endless–rehabilitation exercises and various complex courses on managing companies.
When they went to visit again, they would laugh and tease, “Can we still see that girl at your birthday banquet?”
Carson lifted his head from a pile of documents, his tone resolute, “I will”
And then, we met at this belated birthday banquet, three years overdue.
These are all things Carson never told me. After we reunited, 1 did ask him about his injuries back then.
But every time he would casually brush it off, saying, “How serious could it be? Everything is fine now.”
His friends told me, “Don’t feel pressured, these are all his own choices. You must be a very special and wonderful girl to make him willingly do this.”
“We’re not trying to morally blackmail you by saying all this, we just feel that his appreciation for you should be known, Carson, he’s also a very good person
I turned my head to look at Carson, who was talking on the terrace.
Suddenly, a wave of sadness surged from the bottom of my heart.
His likes seemed to be much, much more than mine.
I started to treat Carson better.
No matter how busy I was with my studies, I would always make time to see him.
Every day, I did not forget to send messages to ask about their well–being
I learned to malor some snacks and sent them to the company for him.

Even if she caught a cold, she still traveled a long distance to meet him on his business trip
The result was that I exerted too much force for a moment and ended up making myself sick.
Carson was a little angry. After listening to my explanation of repaying the favor, he pinched my face and smiled helplessly, saying, “Your top priority now is to take good care of your health. I have other plans for repaying the favor.”
The last time Kaleb came to see me was before Christmas.
Tcame out from my friend’s welcome party after returning to my home country and saw him standing in front of a window with bell lights hanging, not knowing how long he had been there.
He seemed to have lost a lot of weight, his hair was also cut short, wearing a black coat, he walked towards me, his voice very low, “So, during those two years, did you really like me?”
He laughed self–deprecatingly as if he didn’t dare to hear the answer after asking. “I almost forgot, you don’t remember anymore.”
“…I don’t remember how much you liked me back then.”
Yeah, even the doctors couldn’t guarantee when we could retrieve the memories. They could only suggest that we interact more with people or things related to the past, which might help in recovering the memories.
He said, “If I hadn’t brought up breaking up when I woke up in the hospital, would we have stayed together all along?”
“Even if we forget, it doesn’t matter. We will definitely fall in love with each other again, I-”
“No” I interrupted him, reaching out to catch a snowflake, and said firmly, “Kaleb, I wouldn’t like you.”
Whether there was amnesia or not, it wouldn’t matter.
The snowflakes in the palm melted quickly as I passed by him.
Under the streetlight not far away,
- ow. Carson was
That night, I confessed this matter to him.
was waiting for me.
He opened his eyes wide in surprise, but his focus shifted unexpectedly. “So you have liked me for such a long time?”
Without waiting for me to speak again, he immediately tackled me.
The atmosphere of sadness instantly dissipated.
When the rhythm got out of control, I started to struggle
He grabbed my waist and whispered in my ear. “Tsk, why are you running? It’s a debt of gratitude for saving your life.”
“Ms. Doyle.”
“I have to take advantage of the opportunity to repay the favor and have a good time!”
