Chapter 22
Victor closed the suitcase and lifted it up, placing it at the doorstep.
Lizeth hurriedly walked over, staring at him with a curious expression on her face.
“Do you remember Dorian?”
Victor paused for a moment, “Dorian?”
He hadn’t heard that name for a long time, only remembering that Dorian had gone back to Bycastle
with his ex–wife.
He was not so free to inquire about what happened afterwards.
Lizeth tapped on her phone and opened the entertainment news from Bycastle, passing it in front of
him.
“Dorian was disabled.”
Victor suddenly widened his eyes and, after reading the news, realized that Dorian hadn’t been
doing very well since following his ex–wife back to their home country.
Although Dorian had his ex–wife protecting him, the Fischer family was very displeased with his
behavior. They pointed fingers and criticized him. As a result, Dorian lost his mind and tumbled
down the stairs. To make matters worse, rumors about Alicia and another man’s affair were
exposed at that very moment.
Under various circumstances, the two individuals engaged in another argument.
They also didn’t know what would happen next.
Lizeth put away her phone because the Holloway family and the Fischer family also had interactions. After Dorian found out that Victor was his brother, he asked him to apologize on his
behalf to Victor.
Victor remained silent after hearing his words.
In theory, he and Dorian should have had no communication at all. When he married Kaleigh, Dorian had already gotten married and gone abroad.
If Kaleigh had not been wavering between him and Dorian all the time.
They would not have reached this point either way, all things considered, it is still Kaleigh’s fault.
When Victor learned that he was going back to Glasston and would not return in the future, his friends in his home country bid him farewell.

In the private room, bottles of red wine were emptied one after another.
They still didn’t feel satisfied, so they went to the club again.
He didn’t go to the next event because he was afraid Lizeth would worry.
After bidding farewell to his friend, he stood by the roadside, ready to hail a taxi back home, when a honk sounded from beside him.
“Victor, get in the car.”
After realizing that the person in the car was Kaleigh, he instinctively furrowed his brows and took a few steps back.
However, the other party had a look as if he wouldn’t leave unless he got in the car, and there were several cars honking behind his car as well.
Finally, Victor sat in the back seat.
Kaleigh smiled and remained silent, and the car departed.
They didn’t say a word until the car came to a stop outside the Holloway family’s house.
Just as he was about to get out of the car after expressing his gratitude, Kaleigh in front suddenly called out to him.
“Victor.”
Victor’s hand holding the handlebar froze for a moment as he looked at the woman in front of him with confusion.
“Victor, if it weren’t for that debt of gratitude, and if it weren’t for Dorian, would we still be together?”
There was a hint of anticipation in her words.
As if he had heard a joke, Victor burst into laughter and said word by word.
“We were destined to have no outcome, considering your obsession with Dorian all these years.”
From the rearview mirror, he clearly saw how indifferent the woman in the back seat was.
“And even if we didn’t have all these, we couldn’t have been together. As a wife, you never really knew me, didn’t know my dietary restrictions, didn’t know my phone number, and didn’t know how to give me gifts.”
“You never paid attention to me from beginning to end, thinking that I was dispensable. It’s only because I have been treating you well for the past five years that you feel uncomfortable with my

departure. That is not true love.”
“What is true love?”
“It is to be together forever, to exchange true hearts, to be able to remember every single thing about me clearly, to be determined to eliminate all unfavorable factors when we grow old together, to stand firmly by my side, to believe in me, to protect me, to listen to my explanations, to not argue unnecessarily when misunderstandings arise between us, and to unhesitatingly choose me when I
encounter difficulties.”
“Of all these things, which one could you accomplish?”
Since childhood, the young lady who was carefully nurtured only thought about others being able to love her, and never thought about how to love others herself.
If Kaleigh had known a little bit, she wouldn’t have repeatedly gone abroad to meet her beloved while being married herself, nor would she have secretly comforted him repeatedly while he was married, causing unnecessary misunderstandings for Dorian and their marriage.
