Chapter 11
As she saw the flicker of confusion in her eyes, Kassandra was even more surprised in her heart.
She thought at that time that Victor had only not told her daughter about going abroad, but she
didn’t expect that he hadn’t even mentioned the divorce.
How did they sign the divorce agreement?
Kaleigh looked at the divorce certificate in front of her, her eyes darkened, and the burning fire in her chest continued to burn until it reached her eyes.
She thought that Victor had only signed the divorce agreement with her, but she didn’t expect that he even got the divorce certificate!
If she remembers correctly, there was a one–month cooling–off period after obtaining the divorce
certificate.
Just over a month ago, Victor was already preparing to divorce himself!
Looking at Kassandra’s puzzled gaze, she casually said a few words.
Then he asked Kassandra why she had tried to matchmake her and Dorian.
Kassandra smiled.
“You were so desperate for Dorian back then, and now that Dorian has returned to his home
country and Victor has divorced you, I can’t help but think…”
Everyone used to say that she and Dorian were not compatible, but now both of them have divorced,
and everyone has started saying that they are a perfect match.
An uncomfortable feeling spread from within.
“But I didn’t agree to divorce Victor.”
I don’t know why, but when she heard the words about Victor’s divorce, she suddenly felt anxious in
her heart.
In the
past five
years of marriage, she had long been accustomed to Victor’s care. If she were to
divorce him, she couldn’t imagine how miserable her life would be.
Not to mention that Victor loved her dearly, his divorce was definitely a tantrum.
As for Dorian, she did indeed love him, after all, he was her beloved in her youth. She had cherished Elianna in her heart for so many years, but letting go of Victor seemed impossible for her.

Watching the conflict in Kaleigh’s eyes, Kassandra took out a document from the drawer again.
When Kaleigh saw the words “Gratitude Agreement” on the document, along with Victor’s
signature at the bottom, she immediately widened her eyes.
“Mom, what does this mean?”
After all, she was her own daughter, and Kassandra didn’t want to hide it from her.
“When Dorian got married and went abroad, you, who used to be such a talented person, became so decadent. That’s why I thought of finding someone to help you get back on track.”
And Victor happened to come to repay the favor, so the two of them discussed it and quickly reached
an agreement.
As long as Victor accompanied Kaleigh for five years and helped her get over this relationship, his debt of gratitude would be considered fulfilled.
To be honest, Victor did well in these five years.
But I also constantly reminded myself, so I always referred to Kassandra as Aunt.
At first, Kassandra also wanted Dorian to never return to his country in his lifetime, so she treated
Victor as a true son–in–law.
Little did they know that as soon as the five–year agreement ended, Dorian returned to his country, and their daughter got into a car accident in order to see him.
Kassandra was still hesitating about how to speak up when Victor found her first and proposed a
divorce.
After Kassandra finished speaking, Kaleigh couldn’t hear anything.
She tightly clenched the gratitude agreement with both hands, trembling incessantly, her mind
blank.
What did she hear?
So,
all the kindness Victor showed her in these five years was just because of gratitude?
So Victor had never loved himself.
So, after Dorian returned to his country, was he so eager to divorce himself?
But the love in his eyes could never deceive anyone, could it?

If he really didn’t love himself, how could he jump into the sea for himself?
How could I have been good to myself for five years!
She looked at the agreement in front of her with a complex expression in her eyes. It clearly listed the things that Victor had to do for her over the past five years.
The further down I looked, the darker her face became.
From being responsible for her life to personally taking care of all the household matters, everything had to be done by herself.
Every bit of his kindness towards her was solely due to the agreement.
No personal feelings were involved.
