The crowd watched as Beckham hurriedly walked away, and they burst into laughter.
Caroline didn’t see the newspaper until that evening. She was so angry that her eyes turned red, and she immediately jumped out of bed to confront the female journalist, Lina.
Beckham calmly said, “Don’t go. It was Marlene who did it.”
Caroline was taken aback for a moment, but then she felt relieved.
Marlene had gone mad.
Caroline seemed to remember something and took off the miniature camera from her collar, handing it over to the man opposite her.
“This was not an accident. If I hadn’t fallen into the cave, I would probably have died on the cliff.”
Beckham took the camera, his face as dark as ink, exuding a chilling aura all over his body.
With one hand raising, he assured her, “No matter what happens, I will be by your side.”
As soon as these almost confessional words were spoken, the infirmary fell into complete silence.
However, Caroline did not respond. She looked down with her eyes filled with an indiscernible expression. After a moment, she finally spoke, her words tinged with a faint hint of pain.
“The last man who said this stayed with me for seven years, but eventually, we broke up.

“But I no longer have another seven years. My remaining life does not belong to me. I will dedicate it to my country…”
The pain and sadness in Caroline’s eyes made Beckham feel sorry for her, but he also understood that he couldn’t rush on such things.
He sighed and said with a bitter smile, “Alright, I’ll accompany you to dedicate to our country. From now on, we will be the bomb disposal couple.”
Caroline was amused by his words, and even though tears welled up in the corners of her eyes, faint dimples appeared on her face.
The cheerful laughter and chatter in the infirmary made Graysen, who was hiding outside the door, feel particularly lonely.

She even recorded an apology video and sent it to Caroline, asking for her forgiveness,
Caroline only said, “News is not a channel for spreading rumors or slandering. It is the truth. Please speak carefully.”
After this incident, Marlene also got her verdict.
But at that time, her eyes were bloodshot, and her mental state was almost insane. “It’s all her
