Chapter 12
After leaving the hospital, Nathan received a message from the airport – there were just seven hours until his flight.
Nathan began packing his luggage.
Olivia hadn’t come back.
But Ethan kept sending many taunting messages.
Seven hours before departure, he sent a video clip of Olivia crouched on the ground gently massaging his leg.
Nathan watched while throwing all the things he had bought for her over the years into the trash.
Five hours before departure, Ethan sent several photos of Olivia delivering boxes of expensive jewelry, kneeling to personally put a ring on his finger.
Nathan turned and smashed their wedding photo, then set it on fire.
Three hours before departure, it was an audio recording of Olivia sleep–talking, exhausted, every word mentioning Ethan’s name
with sincere emotion.
Nathan went into the bedroom and packed up all the gifts Olivia had given him after marriage to donate to charity.
Soon, the place he had once considered their home became empty.
The servants saw this scene and came over worriedly to ask Nathan what had happened.
Nathan smiled, his tone very relaxed.
“It’s nothing, we’re just getting divorced.”
“Divorced? The young miss agreed?”
Did she agree?
Nathan didn’t know, and didn’t want to know.
But he thought, when Olivia saw that divorce agreement, she must be very happy.
After all, this way she could truly be with Ethan without any baggage.
On the way to the airport with his luggage,
Snowflakes were falling.
Ethan sent another message.
This time, the camera was aimed not just at Olivia, but Ethan’s parents as well.
Looking at the photo of the four people smiling around him, Nathan stared out at the snowflakes, unmoved.

He just calmly deleted Ethan, Olivia, and everyone related to them from his phone.
One hour before departure, Nathan stepped into the airport when a call came in from an unfamiliar number.
Nathan thought for a moment, but still answered.
“Nathan, why did you delete me?”
Just as he was about to speak, Olivia’s softened voice came through:
“Ethan’s parents came, so I’ve been busy all day. I’m sorry about yesterday. I’m back now, let’s talk.”
Talk about what?
The divorce?
Nathan smiled, looking up at the planes roaring overhead, his voice completely calm.
“Let’s not talk. What you wanted most, I actually gave you a month ago.”
What?
What thing?
Olivia was about to ask when another call came in on her phone.
It was from Ethan.
Hearing no sound from the other end, but the call hadn’t been hung up,
Nathan knew she had put him on hold.
Imagining her answering that call with a smile in her eyes,
Olivia finished the call just as Nathan passed through security. She had forgotten what she wanted to ask earlier.
She quickly said: “Nathan, Ethan is causing trouble again. I’m going to sort things out with him. I’ll be back tonight.”
Then she heard Nathan say something on the other end, but it seemed very crowded and noisy there, with some unclear
announcements.
She couldn’t hear clearly, but figured it was just Nathan telling her to “be careful” as he always did when she drove.
So she hung up the phone.
After all, in the past three years, she had heard it countless times.
There was no need to take it to heart.
She just wanted to hurry and finish, then go back to tell Nathan her true feelings.
Nathan stood alone looking out at the snow for a long time, until the shuttle for international flights arrived. He picked up his
suitcase and walked over.
