Chapter 2
After arriving at the hospital, I was the first to get my prenatal checkup report.
The attending physician reviewed the report and told me the fetus was very healthy. I immediately took the report from her.
I thought as long as I didn’t let Titus see this report, nothing would go wrong.
But I hadn’t expected that just as I walked out of the attending physician’s office, Titus would ask to see my prenatal report, just like in my previous life.
I felt a bit panicked but deliberately smiled and asked, “Why do you want to see my report?”
Titus smiled too: “I’m the child’s father and I’m also an obstetrician–gynecologist. It’s normal for me to look at the report, right?”
“The doctor already said both the baby and I are healthy. Don’t you trust her?” I countered.
“It’s not that I don’t trust her. I just want to understand the specifics so I can take better care of you.”
But I deliberately stuffed the report into my bag: “I’m just not letting you see it today.”
Titus thought I was throwing a tantrum and had to compromise: “Fine, as long as you and the baby are healthy.”

I smiled and linked my arm through his: “I’m going to the restroom, then we’ll head home.”
I grabbed my bag and headed to the restroom.
I had indeed glanced at the prenatal report earlier, but too quickly to notice anything unusual.
I decided to examine it carefully in the restroom to see what exactly was wrong that would make them react so intensely after seeing the report.
But as soon as I reached the restroom, I panicked–the prenatal report was gone.
I hurried back out and saw Titus from a distance, his face pale as a sheet. The prenatal report that should have been in my bag was now in his hands.
When Titus saw me, he strode quickly toward me. I instinctively wanted to run, but he still caught my arm.
His eyes were bloodshot as he stared at me intently: “Selena, this child cannot be kept. Go get an abortion right now!”
In my previous life, I never understood until my death why the usually gentle Titus would become like a completely different person after seeing the prenatal report.
This was the first time I’d seen Titus look so vicious.
My whole body trembled, but since this wasn’t my first time experiencing this, I quickly shouted: “Help! Someone’s trying to

force me to abort my baby!”

The hospital was crowded, and my shout immediately drew a crowd around us.
Titus seemed not to have expected me to do this, so I started crying loudly: “Honey, the doctor said the baby is healthy. Why do you want me to get an abortion?”
Titus lowered his voice and scolded: “Bitch, shut up!”
He tried to drag me away, but onlookers had already approached.
A man forcibly pulled him away from me: “What do you think you’re doing?”
“My God, the baby’s fine and he still wants an abortion. Doesn’t he want this child?”
“Why didn’t he think about pregnancy when he was sleeping
around?”
“Forcing a pregnant woman to have an abortion is illegal. Someone should call the police!”
Titus was breathing heavily, glaring at me viciously through gritted teeth.
But with so many onlookers present, he couldn’t do anything.
Unexpectedly, he suddenly smiled at me and started calling my
3/3. parents.
