Renee’s mother did not know why Renee suddenly changed her mind, but when she thought that her daughter could come and live with her, she did not ask any more

“Okay.” After Renee hung up the phone, she returned to bed.

Felix breathed a sigh of relief, with a slight smile on his face, he apologized, “I actually forgot about that. You are really attentive.
“You have to go to the hospital for a follow–up checkup on your leg tomorrow. I’ve put down my work and am here to accompany you.”
Anyone who saw Felix’s expression would think that he loved Renee terribly.
If Renee had not heard their conversation with her own ears, she would not have believed that Felix could hurt her like this.
Renee’s throat seemed to be strangled and she said hoarsely, “Okay, can you sleep in the next room today?”

They slept together for five years and they had never been separated except when Felix was on a business trip.
“Renee, are you hiding something from me?” Felix narrowed his peach blossom eyes, as if he wanted to see through her completely.
Renee took the initiative to hold Felix’s hand, her eyes clear and transparent as she explained, “It’s raining today, my legs will definitely hurt at night and I won’t be able to sleep. I’m afraid of disturbing you.”
Felix seemed to be relieved and smiled as he scratched Renee’s nose and said, “We have never disturbed each other.”
Just at this moment, Felix’s phone screen lit up and he quickly took it from the bedside table.
But Renee still saw it. It was Iva who sent the message, saying that she was scared and wanted him to stay with her.
Felix let go of Renee and sighed, “Renee, something happened at the company. You should be alone tonight. If you have any worries, just call me.”
Without waiting for Renee’s response, Felix went out impatiently.
The next day, Felix came back early in the morning and the black bruises under his eyes were very obvious.

After the examination, Felix met Iva on the way when he was pushing Renee out.

“Felix, how long are you going to keep that little pet of yours? Don’t act like you’re believing it.”
Felix sneered and his movements became heavier, “Don’t you know how much food I paid you last night?
“I adopted her because her back looked a bit like you and I was with her because of you. She is just a substitute for you at best. I couldn’t bear to see you suffer, so I had to let her come.”
