Chapter85
“SPILL IT. NOW!” I growled, baring my wolf fangs at them. “I’ll
fucking dismiss this goddamn council and hang every one of
you! Which is something I’ve wanted to do a long time ago!”
They quivered slightly, but quickly regained their composure.
“Now you are just being silly, King Asher.” Owen sneered.
“They Royal Council has been here for hundreds of years. This
kingdom needs us. You don’t have the strength and power to
dissolve the Royal Council. But maybe, if you apologize now
and promise to be good from now on, we’ll let you step down
quietly.”
I didn’t flinch. “Maybe I can’t fire you old pricks legally. But
killing you all will be so fucking easy!”
Owen’s smirk faded a little, “Do you think you’re going to scare
us into submission? We’re not afraid of you.”
I leaned in, my voice cold. “You should be afraid. Do you
remember Dark Alley Pack?”
The mention of the pack sent a ripple of unease through the
room. Owen’s eyes widened immediately, as if he just saw a
ghost in bright day light.
“What are you talking about?” he asked, his voice strained.
“I’m talking about the destruction of Dark Alley Pack,” I said,
my tone icy. “I’m talking about the day Alpha Xavier’s mother
was killed. You know exactly who’s responsible for that–the
Royal Council. It’s your biggest secret, and you’re scared to
death anyone finds out. Especially Xavier.”
A sharp silence filled the room. Owen was visibly sweating
now, trying to keep his composure. But I knew the truth stung,
and it would keep stinging until he broke.
“You don’t have the guts to do this, Asher,” Owen said, his voice
shaking with anger. “If you go public with this, it’ll be your end.”
I laughed icily, “I’m not my uncle. I don’t cower at threats. And
I’m not asking for much. Tell me how to stop Isaac, or I’ll tell
Xavier everything. He deserves to know what really happened
to his mother and his pack. And when I tell him, you will all
burn.”
“Maybe we should’ve just let Isaac become Alpha King, huh?
He’d have done better than you.” one of the council members

Peter snapped.
“Well he might be a better puppet. You are right about that. But
it’s too late for you to regret it now!” I snickered.
I could see the fear creeping into Owen’s eyes. He was
squirming under the pressure. Finally, with a defeated sigh,
Owen gave in.
“Isaac’s spell–it’s tied to Violet and her brothers. Their blood is
the key to breaking the barrier. If they combine ALL of their
blood, they can destroy what Isaac’s barrier.“‘
Great. Finally something. But I didn’t intent to stop there.
“Where’s Michael?” I demanded.
Owen flinched, “I don’t know.””
I chuckled darkly. “Then I guess we’ll have to let Xavier ask you
himself. He’s really good at making people talk.”
That’s when the fear really hit them. They knew Xavier’s a
hybrid like me, but they didn’t know how strong he was. These
people were afraid of the unknown.
I stared them down, my voice ice–cold. “Tell me everything.

Now. Or Xavier gets to hear all about how you destroyed Dark
Alley Pack and killed his mother. And believe me, you do not
want that.”
The room went silent, the tension so thick I could almost taste
- it.
I knew they would cave..
Asher’s POV
One of the council elders finally caved, his voice wavering as he
spoke up, “The flowers of the Nightshade Pack. their scent,
combined with the high humidity of their lands, might help
your daughter Mia recover!”
I leaned back in my chair, a mocking smile curling at my lips.
“Oh, so it wasn’t that hard to give me a solution, was it?” I said,
my tone dripping with sarcasm. “All this time, you’ve been
playing games, acting as though you held all the cards. But look
at you now–folding under a little pressure. I told you, you’d give
me what I wanted. You always do.””
There was a strained silence in the room. They looked
humiliated, but they couldn’t deny.

“You chose the wrong side. Isaac will fall. When he does, you
are the next.” I scanned the room icily. I’d cut them the slack this
time. But sooner or later, I’d get rid of these old bastards.
Owen bristled at my words, his expression tightening. “This
isn’t about opposing you or helping Isaac! You’ve
misunderstood our intentions entirely. We’ve been testing the
power of the Celestine Bloom–not to help Isaac, but to prepare
for a greater threat. You don’t understand the risks we face.””
I folded my arms, staring him down. “Oh, enlighten me, Owen.
What risks?”
Owen’s gaze flickered, and he hesitated before continuing.
