Chapter79
I clenched my fists. I wanted to throw a punch at her. How dare
she flirt with my mate in front of me! God do I hate her!
“It must be horrible.” Asher’s voice was deep and sexy, “But you
are here now. Maybe we can figure out something together.”
She was loving it, of course. I could see it in the way she looked
at him. She was enjoying the attention, the rare moment where
Asher wasn’t scowling at her, treating her like a necessary evil.
“I like that idea.” she giggled, “So, my dear sister, and my loving
ex–husband. What do you need from me?”
I swallowed hard. Finally we were getting to the point.
“You’ve probably known this–Isaac took Mia. We need your
help to get her back. We know you have a connection to him.
Please, Kylie. You’re the only one who might be able to reach
him.”
“Oh. How sad and tragic.” Kylie rolled her eyes with a sneer,
crossing her arms. “But why would I help you anyway?”
Chapter 79
“You know Mia. She’s just a child, a sweet and innocent little
girl. She has nothing to do with our feud. Please help me-”
“Blah blah Mia’s sweet. But how does that answer my question?
Why should I help you?” her smile was mean and cruel.
Olivia couldn’t help it anymore. She jumped up to her feet and
snapped at Kylie, “You’ve known Mia for years too! Her father
was serving as Gamma when you were Luna! You sat at the
same table with her at Christmas! She called you Aunt Kylie!
How can you be so cold and cruel.”
Kylie’s lips curled into a smile, but it wasn’t a friendly one.” You
people are so predictable. You think I’m supposed to help
because of some old memories? Give me a break! Yeah I used to
know her when I was Luna. But I’m not Luna anymore and
have nothing to do with her whatsoever. She can be dead and I
won’t even give a damn.”
I sucked in a sharp breath. Jayden started roaring, “TAKE
THAT BACK RIGHT NOW-”
Kylie quickly stepped back, but her evil smile grew wider. “Or
what? Are you going to kill me brother? I thought you want
something from me. Stop pleading to my soft side because you
are waiting your time and I don’t have any.”
Chapter 79
I took in a deep breath, taking a moment to cool down my
boiling anger.
“Then what do you want us to do?”
She smiled, “Easy. If you want my help, you’re going to have to
pay up.”
I had seen that coming. “Name the price then.”
She didn’t answer right away, but instead took a moment to
look around this room. “Such a fancy place that you are living
- in. And look at your clothes. So gorgeous. Yet I heard when
Elena found you, you were practically living in a shoebox
wearing waitress’s costume. Life can be really funny sometimes
right?”
My heart ached when she mentioned Elena. How dared she
mention Elena. My best friend was dead and she and her mate
had everything to do with it.
“Just get to the fucking point. What the hell do you want!”
Kylie took a slow, deliberate step forward, her eyes locked on
mine.
“The Queen’s seat. Give it back, and I’ll help you get your

precious Mia back. That’s the price.”
Violet’s POV
I was furious. Furious beyond words, beyond reason.
I’d thought about the possibility that Kylie would make such a
demand, but I never let myself truly consider it. And yet here she was, saying it out loud, as though it were the most natural
thing in the world.
“YOU WISH!” Asher snarled before I even spoke up. His face
was full of rage. “Forget it. This deal is off! Get the hell out of
here!”
“And now you are being cruel to me again. I was your wife,
remember? This Queen throne should be mine and she stole it. I
think I’m making a reasonable demand.”
“I stole it?!” I gritted, my voice shaking with rage. “I’m Asher’s
mate from day one! You are the thief, not me! And I’d never
leave him for the rest of my life!”
There was a short pause. And Kylie suddenly burst out
laughing, an obnoxious sound that echoed through the room.
“Oh, relax, Violet! I was just joking. Unlike you the home-

wrecking whore, I don’t take pleasure from stealing somebody
else’s husband. But if you’re being honest, you’d do anything to
get Mia back, right?”
I glared at her, trying to keep my composure. “So what is it that
you really want then?”
She crossed her eyes, her eyes gleaming with a mischievous
glint.
