Violet’s POV
After breakfast with Julia and Olivia, I went to the office to find
Asher.
Life had taken such a dramatic turn lately, and I realized that it
had been far too long since I’d allowed myself a moment to just
relax. Everything had been one crisis after another. I was
exhausted. I needed a break, even if it was just a small one. I
needed to do something that made me feel like myself again.
As soon as I walked in, he looked up from his desk, his eyes
softening when he saw me.
“Morning mate,” he smiled the most handsome smile.
“I need a break,” I announced. “I’m going to town to have some
fun. And you are coming with me.”
Asher frowned, setting down the papers he’d been holding. “I’d
love to babe, but not today.” he said, his voice gentle but firm.
“We need to talk about Isaac. And there are couple of things
waiting to be handled…”

“Shush.” I walked around his desk until I was standing right in
front of him and put a hand over his mouth. “No more talking
about Isaac, or anything else that’s going on. You owe me a few
dates, remember? I just want some time for us—just you and
- me. When’s the last time we did that?”
He blinked looking at me, his eyes searching mine.
“The answer is never. We never had a proper date before.” I
reminded him. We never had a first date, propose, wedding….he
owed that much to me.
“Violet…”
He began, but I wasn’t in the mood to argue. I needed this, and I
knew he needed it too.
I leaned down, my lips brushing against his chin, trailing soft
kisses along his jawline and down to his neck. I knew the
influence I had over him. Soon I heard his breath catch and felt
the way his body tensed under my touch.
“Violet,” he murmured, his voice shaky now. “We really need
to…”
“We really need to fuck,” I whispered.
I pressed my lips against his skin, my hands sliding down to the
waistband of his pants, my fingers undoing his belt. He sucked
in a sharp breath, his eyes fluttering closed. I could feel the way
his heartbeat quickened, the way his breathing grew ragged.
He didn’t say anything more to oppose to my decision, and I
smiled against his skin.
I let my underpants fall and go to sit on his thighs, my wet
entrance touching his hardened cock. His eyes finally opened,
meeting mine, and I could see the desire there, the way he was
struggling to hold himself back.
“Fuck…you siren…” he groaned roughly as I sat down on his
cock.
I giggled and rocked my butt. He quickly lost all of his sanity
and threw me over the desk. We fucked passionately as we
always had, the hardwood table shaking underneath us.
I whispered words of love into his eyes, my voice rising until it
was a scream, until I reached the orgasm.
“… You seduced me.” he collapsed against me and complained,
but there was smile in his voice. I brought a finger down his muscular chest and chuckled, “Yeah, so what? Is the King going
to punish me for that?”

He caught my naughty hand and planted a soft kiss on my
palm.
“After everything is over, we can go anywhere you want. And
I’ll always be by your side,” he promised.
I smiled, brushing a strand of hair away from his face.
“Anywhere?” I asked, my voice soft, teasing.
“Yes. But not today, babe, we can’t.” he added, his expression
turning serious again. “Tomorrow we will leave for the royal
pack. They can’t go long without a King.”
I sighed, the reality of everything coming back in a rush. I had
just started to feel comfortable in my role as Luna, and now I
was being asked to step into the role of the Queen. It sucks, but I
knew I had to face it.

Later, Asher and I stood hand in hand in front of our pack. The
gathered wolves looked up at us, their faces filled with a
mixture of hope and worry.
I knew what was on their minds. They were worried about
what would happen next, about who would lead them once
Asher took on his new role. They needed reassurance, and we

were here to give it to them.
Asher squeezed my hand gently before he turned to address
the pack.
“You will all be taken care of,” he said, his voice strong,
commanding. “The transition will be smooth, and you will be
led by someone you can trust. The next Alpha will be one of our
own.”
I could see the tension in the crowd ease instantly. But my own
worry was still there.
Royal council wanted to name Isaac. And I knew Asher trusted
his brother. But that man was not one of us. He was not
someone I could trust, not after everything that had happened.
Was Asher going to name Isaac?
And should I say something to stop Isaac from taking control?
But before I could make up my mind, Asher spoke again, his
voice clear and confident:
“The next Alpha will be Beta Jayden.”
He announced, his words ringing out across the gathered
So now It
He was standing near the front of the crowd, his face pale, his
eyes wide with shock.
I knew he hadn’t expected this. None of us had.
“Jayden,” Asher said, his voice gentler now. “Will you accept
this responsibility and lead this pack in my place?”
