Chapter127
I sighed. “It’s rare to see a woman treated as an equal, even
among us. But at least I have you! I glanced up at him. “That’s what I love about you. You don’t question my capability. You never make me feel like I have to prove myself”
He pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. “Because you don’t”
A warmth settled in my chest. I had never doubted his love but
hearing it in such simple words made it all the more real
“Let’s sleep,” he murmured. “We have a long day ahead of us
tomorrow.”
Violet’s POV
The morning started with an explosion of laughter as Mia
bounced on the bed between Asher and me, her tiny body filled
with energy. It had been a long time since I’d heard her laugh
like this, and my heart swelled just seeing her so happy. After
everything she had been through, seeing her carefree again felt
like a gift.
Asher was still groggy from sleep. He caught her in his arms

and chuckled. “You’re up early,” he murmured, holding her
steady as she squirmed excitedly.
“You promised we’d explore the whole city today!” she cried,
stretching her arms wide as if she could encompass all of
Istanbul in her tiny hands. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and I
found myself laughing along with her.
I gently brushed her hair back. “Sweetheart, this city is
enormous. It would take way more than a day to see
everything. But I promise you’ll have the best time of your life.”
Mia pouted dramatically. “Then let’s not waste time!” She
nudged me away from the bed, making it clear she was ready to
get started.
“Alright, alright, let’s get this holiday started.” I rolled out of bed
with a grin while Asher stretched beside me. We freshened up
quickly and got Mia ready. Unlike some days when getting her
into the bath was a struggle, today, she was cooperative–too
excited about the day ahead to put up a fight.
Instead of ordering breakfast in the hotel, we decided to eat
outside, hoping to soak in more of the city’s vibrant energy.
As soon as we stepped out, the lively streets overwhelmed us

with their energy. The sounds of conversation, the smell of
freshly baked bread, and the sheer number of people moving in
every direction hit us instantly.
Mia’s eyes widened in amazement. “Wow, I have never seen so
many people in our own pack before.”
I laughed at her reaction. “It’s a big city, princess. The human’s
world. This is normal here.”
“Let’s take a bus!” I suggested playfully, feeling a little
adventurous. A taxi was already waiting for us, but something
about riding public transport in a new city felt exciting.
Asher, ever the responsible one, placed a gentle kiss on my
cheek. “How about we feed our daughter first before diving
into one of your spontaneous plans?”
I rolled my eyes but giggled, “Fair enough.”
We ended up at a charming little breakfast spot recommended
by our driver. The spread was incredible–plates filled with fresh
eggs, vegetables, a variety of cheeses, and an assortment of
cured meats and breads. The Turkish tea, served in delicate
glass cups, was easily my favorite.
As we enjoyed our meal, Asher smirked at me. “So, what do you
Chapter 127
think we should do first?”
I blinked at him, surprised. “You’re asking me? You planned this
whole trip!”
He shrugged, his expression teasing. “Just wanted to see if you
had any special requests.”
I gave him a skeptical look, but he only grinned. “Relax, babe.
This is going to be the best trip of your life.”
True to his word, he had everything perfectly planned. Our
first stop was Hagia Sophia, a breathtaking structure with
massive red walls and towering minarets. The building exuded
history, its presence commanding awe and reverence.
“I’ve seen this church on TV!” Mia blurted out, her excitement
drawing a few amused glances from other tourists. We
shushed her, not wanting to attract too much attention.
Asher let out a low whistle, taking in the architecture.
“Impressive.”
I nudged him playfully. “Are you actually impressed? It usually
takes a lot to impress you.”
He tilted his head thoughtfully. “I am. But more than that, it’s
Chapter 127
nice to just be here, to enjoy this without any worries.”
For once he wasn’t thinking about responsibilities or pack
affairs. He was just present, and I loved seeing him like this.
I grinned, flipping my hair dramatically. “Boy, please. All I have
to do is stand here, and you’d be impressed.”
He laughed, shaking his head. “You’re right. Everything about
you impresses me.”
My heart melted a little at that.
As we moved through the site, we teased each other playfully,
the lightheartedness a refreshing change from our usual stress.
But then, in the blink of an eye, my amusement turned into
panic.
