Chapter124
“However!” he raised his voice to the room, ignoring me, “If
anyone dares to commit the same crime as Michael did, think
twice before acting because you might not have such a good
mother and sister to save you.”
My face burned. This was a slap to my face. But at least he had
agreed to it now.
Asher turned back to my mother, his face deadly serious, “But
understand this–you have no authority here. This is not just my
decision. This is a decision for the future of the kingdom. And
Michael is to remain within your pack’s borders. If I hear he has
set foot outside of them, there won’t be another discussion. His
life will be forfeit.”
His words left no room for argument.
My mother met his gaze, her own face unreadable. “I swear to
you, he will not leave the pack or interfere in your affairs.”
I let out a shaky sigh of relief. Finally, my brother’s life was
saved. And I couldn’t thank my mother enough for it. Her pack
would pay serious price for it.
“You and your pack should prepare my mother said to us. “The
other Alphas will want to witness this firsthand.”
I stepped closer, lowering my voice so only she could hear. I
know this isn’t easy for you.” I said quietly. “But if I were in
your position. I would have done the same thing” I understood
her heart as a mother. Family always came first
She let out a slow breath nodding slightly.
“At the very least, we no longer have to worry about the
Celestine flower Alpha Hamilton muttered in the crowd, his
voice heavy with exhaustion.
A tall, battle–worn warrior with scars crossed his arms and
spoke up. “That flower is a danger to us all. But it also carries
huge power. Without it, we are left completely vulnerable to
the creatures lurking beyond our borders.”
Violet’s POV
I was exhausted, my body weighed down by everything that
had happened, but more than anything, I longed to be with my
daughter. Leaving Asher with the other Alphas, I made my way
back to our roorn, hoping to spend some time with my daughter
in a moment of peace.
Chapter124
To my frustration, I found her downstairs, playing with my
brothers.
The moment she saw me, she sprinted over, throwing her tiny arms around me. I held her tightly, feeling the overwhelming relief of having her close again. I had missed her desperately,
and her reaction made it clear that she had felt the same.
“I missed you,” she murmured against my shoulder, her voice
small and warm. At that moment, the weight on my chest
lightened. Everything we had fought for, every sacrifice we
had made–it was all for her safety and happiness.
Picker her up into my arms, I carried her to the living room, my gaze shifting toward my brothers. Jayden’s expression was
serious. “I wanted to say goodbye before I leave,” he admitted.
Despite all the turmoil between us, I would never deny him the
chance to see Mia. She was his family, too. I didn’t want her to
grow up in the strained family environment that I did..
“That’s good,” I said, though my heart clenched at the thought.
“She’ll miss you.”
He gave me a half–smile. “I’ll miss her too.”
I didn’t want to dwell on how strained things had become, but I

hated the way our relationship had soured. Some things, no matter how much we wanted them to, couldn’t go back to the
way they were.
“Bye, my little princess. I’ll see you soon,” Jayden whispered to Mia, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead before stepping back.
“Travel safe,” I murmured. A single tear slipped down my
cheek, but I wiped it away before anyone could notice.
As I watched Jayden and the others walk away, my heart
ached with the weight of unsaid words. I wanted them to turn
around, to look at me one last time, to say something–anything.
But they never did.
“Take care of yourself,” I whispered, knowing they wouldn’t
hear me.
“Why are you crying? What are you sad about?” My daughter wrapped her tiny arms around my neck and asked. She was still too young to understand the complicated emotions that I
had right now. And I wanted her to stay this way as long as
possible.
“Nothing I just.haven’t seen you in a long while and I miss you.”
I smiled through my tears and hugged her.
Chapter124
“Tell you a little secret mom: I miss you even more.” My heart
swelled at that.
“I can see that you two both miss each other but what about
me?” a voice came from behind our back.
