Fated to my twin 115

Chapter115

“You really thought life would be different?” he mocked. His

grin was cruel, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Welcome to

the losing side, Kylie.”

I clenched my fists, willing myself not to react. But he saw it–he

saw the flicker of pain and fed off it like a vulture circling a

dying animal.

“You feel that emptiness?” He tilted his head, pretending to be

sympathetic. “That’s what I felt when you threw me away. And

now you know what it’s like to be nothing.”

I clenched my jaw, my stomach twisting. Isaac had always

known how to cut deep, how to twist the knife just enough to

make it hurt.

I gritted my teeth. “Don’t try to make yourself the victim. I

rejected you for a reason. You are nothing compared to Asher,

and also nothing compared to Michael.”

Isaac scoffed. “And none of those good men want you. So

congratulations. “His amusement faded, replaced by something

colder. “But don’t try to act like you’re better than me, Kylie.

Chapter115

We’re both going to hell.”

Before I could say another word, the sound of approaching

footsteps echoed through the hall. The heavy clang of the cell

door swinging open made both Andrew and I freeze. Gamma

Simon stepped inside.

“Well, well, looks like you two have a new neighbor,” he

announced.

I frowned, confusion washing over me until I saw who was

being shoved into the cell across from us. My breath hitched.

Michael.

He looked different. His expression was hollow, defeated. This

wasn’t the confident Michael I used to know. I watched him

shuffle inside like a walking body.

“Michael?” I breathed.

He flinched at the sound of my voice, looking more vulnerable

than I had ever seen him.

“I pointed a weapon at my own sister.” His fingers curled into

fists. “I watched her grow up, and when it came down to it. I

turned against her.“”

Chapter115

A sickening silence filled the air. The weight of his words

crashed down, suffocating.

Isaac snorted from the corner. “So, what? Does that mean you

failed?”

Michael lifted his head, his expression darkening. “Damn it,

Isaac. Do you even care about anything besides your pathetic

revenge?”

Isaac rolled his eyes. “Spare me the guilt trip, Michael. You made

your choice. Now you have to live with it.”

Something inside me snapped. “Do you ever think about

anyone but yourself?” I shot back at Isaac. “You destroyed lives

for your own selfish reasons, and now you want to act like

you’re some kind of tragic hero?”

Isaac’s smirk faltered, just for a second, but it was enough for

me to see through his act. Beneath the arrogance, beneath the

cruelty, he was just as broken as the rest of us.

“You’re no saint either, Kylie.” He hissed.

“I know we’ve done terrible things. But you know what, Isaac?

At least I realize it. At least I know I made mistakes. Unlike you.”

Chapter115

He let out a humorless chuckle. “You think somebody will cry at your funeral? Never. Those hypocrites won’t shed a single tear for you. You chose the wrong side and now you are fucked. Just fucking live with it.”

I clenched my fists. “I have brothers. Even if they hate me, I know they’ll be there for me.”

Isaac didn’t say anything this time because he knew that his brother’s hatred toward him ran far deeper than mine.

I turned to Michael, watching him closely. He looked lost. And my heart broke for him. He didn’t deserve this like Isaac and me because he had a soft heart deep down. He was just stupid to let

everyone use him like a tool.

“I’m sorry,” I said to him from across the hall. “I know it

probably doesn’t mean much now, but I am.”

Michael shook his head. “She hates me,” he whispered, his voice barely audible.

He didn’t have to say who. We both knew he was talking about

Violet.

Isaac let out a snort, “Oh please, don’t pretend that you even care about how you sister feel. Because if you do, you’d never

Chapter115

take away her mate. You are just as evil, and pathetic, and lost like the rest of us.”

“Stop it!” I shrieked. God do I want to shut that mouth of him

But too bad I couldn’t because we weren’t in different cell

Simon clapped his hands and interrupted us

“Alright, enough of the sob story. You’ll have all night to sulk. Get some rest while you can–your trials start tomorrow.”

Isaac’s POV

Sitting here with the others, awaiting judgmentthere felt

strange.

No more scheming, no more plotting for revenge. I have

reached the end of the road.

Oddly enough, I wasn’t afraid.

I was ready to take whatever punishment they decided for me.
