“I cannot heal Alpha Karlen’s legs,” I repeated, my voice as calm as a moon spring beneath frozen mountains.

I let out a soft laugh.
Grace thought I was mocking her, and her face twisted momentarily before she forced composure. “Miss Elira, I’ve heard you’re the most talented healer of the Moonshadow family this generation. Yet you refused both the Velmoran family and the Silverhollow family. It’s hard not to wonder if actually know how to heal at all.”
