Chapter 008
Lovie stared at me for a few seconds before loud laughter rang through the room. The petite woman stared at me as if I had gone mad. “You?” she laughed. “You will destroy the Volkan family?;
“She’s bluffing, Lovie. Let’s go. Don’t entertain her drama.”
“Think whatever you want.” I pinned them down with a glare. “But when the sun rises, it will mark a new season, one neither of you will be able to escape from.
Lovie froze, the smile falling from her lips. She walked over to me and I stumbled as her hand collided with my face. My eyes widened at her audacity.
“Lovie!”
“Did you see how easy it was to slap you?” She taunted as my knuckles turned white at my sides. That is how easily you will fail. Besides, where will you find the fabrics or materials to do anything? In case you don’t remember, I destroyed everything!” She spat and tried to slap me again, I caught it and slapped her
Lovie froze, she must have felt like cold water was dumped on her. After all, for years, I doted and respected her. I treated her with so much love and now? Everything was hollow.
I turned, marching off as I caught sight of Atlas entering the mansion. The sound of footsteps followed me until I reached my room. I frowned and spun around, my breath hitching as I bumped into him
“You?”
“What? Were you expecting lan to stay longer? What was your plan? Do you want to…” He stepped forward and my breath hitched, “Seduce him?”
“Don’t.” I gritted. “You repulse me, Atlas. I hate-
Do you
think I love you? That I’m dying for you? You killed my brother,” He stepped forward and my back hit the wall, our breaths mingled as we locked eyes. “You don’t get to mess with my cousin too. Okay?”
Then, throw me out. Kick me out, right now. If you hate me so freaking much, sign the divor-
I won’t!” He snapped and pressed ne against the wall, his hands grabbed my chin pinning me in place. “You fooled two brothers, killed one and married the other. You started this game, Julia but it will only end when I say so.”
“So, this marriage has always been a punishment and not even a duty?”
Atlas scoffed. “Of course it has. Being with you, waking up and seeing your face, it has been torture. You ruined my life, Julia. How dare you dream of being happy?”
“I didn’t do anything. Neither did I cause Ryle’s suicide, nor did I drug anyone that night When you finally realize this, it will be too late. Scratch that, it’s too late.”
I pushed him off and enterd my room, shutting the door. I slid down, my heart breaking in my chest.
For the first time, I stood up to him. It hurt, but I had to Thad to and-
Sobs racked through my body and I glanced around the room, the camera from before within my grasp. The long beige curtains made it seem like a fortress.
I frowned, they weren’t here before. I loved basking in the security of a room like this, but Atlas loathed it. He claimed that I was a dark twisted person. So, who set up the curtains in my room?
I didn’t have time to dwell on the reason because I bolted upright. My eyes widened to twice their size. This was it! These curtains! They were the solution to my biggest problem.
I rushed over to my drawers and pulled out my old materials. The next few hours were a complete blur, but I vaguely
remembered three knocks and some text from my Lawyer.

Each time I opened the door, a cup of coffee sat on the ground, exactly how I preferred it. It helped me through the night and the next time I raised my head, the sun was up.
I grinned, glancing around my room to see the magic I had created. It was madness, complete madness but art was madness.
It didn’t have to make sense, it had no rules.
I packed up the designs and got dressed, driving out of
the mansion before anyone could sabotage me.
1 caught sight of the camera inside the box and promised to take photos of the design and my victory. Maybe even a frame of Lovic facing Karma
However, when I arrived at the grande hall, Lovie, Atlas, and Margaret were already seated. They were surrounded by the press and from the little bits I could make out Lovie was feeding them another sob story.
“How could a sister betray another one?”
“I thought Mrs, Volkan was a q
was a good person, but hearing Lovie’s perspective, she is surely shameless
“Oh, Mrs. Volkan has arrived.”
All eyes turned to me and I marched over to the podium, the box in my grasp. I was late because I had bumped into some girls, they made such a fuss.
!
“Whatever she has said in the past two hours,” I began as all the cameras shifted to me. “Is a lie,” I added and the personnel and reporters.erupted into gasps.
*Julia! I know you hate me but how can you treat me like-” She froze midway when she realized I was saying the same words. Her eyes widened in shock
“See? I have seen her repeat this drama so many times, I already know the lines.” I crossed my arms on my chest. “But, I’m not here to exchange words. I’m here to present my carefully crafted designs and to see hers too. If she is truly the silver designer, hers should have the signature design”
The reporters nodded.
“Yes, Mrs. Volkan has a point,” One of the design personnel spoke. “Everyone knows that the silver designer always has her
signature
stitch on her dresses! All the customers and marketers love it!
Then, that seals the deal. Whoever has the dresses with those designs is the real Silver designer and will have all the copyrights to all the designs on Volkan Industries so far!”
“A whooping 10-20% of a billion–dollar company? What a deal.”
I glanced at the box and frowned when I noticed the tape I placed on it was messily done. It was neat when I put it in the car, even when I was trying to speak to those girls.
“Go on! Open your box. Show your designs. I have the designs with the Silver designer’s stitch. I worked on it all night and I
have all the proof!”
My stomach churned at her words, Why was Lovie so certain? She should be trembling in fear. We both knew she didn’t even know how to use a needle and there was no way she could fake any design or my stitch overnight.
An uneasy feeling pressed against my chest as my gaze shifted to the box. Had something gone wrong?
“Enough talking, open the box already!”
“Are you all talk and no show? Open it alreadyr
“Yes, show us the designs?

For some reason, my hands shook as I opened the box, and once it was exposed.
Someone stepped up and I stumbled as they peered in, yelling. The box was empty!
How… how had I not felt it?
As I peered in, I realized why. It was stuffed. Nothing was here. it was…
“Is this some sort of jo
joke?” one of the e personnel barked
“Isaid it, she was all talk and no show. She came here to waste our time.

“I can’t believe we doubted Miss. Lovie for a nobody! She might be Mrs. Volkan but
Tears stung my eyes as my body shook, I could barely focus on their taunts over
this is unacceptable!”
er the
sound of my heart pounding in my chest
No, no, no!
It was all here, I packed it myself! I packed it and..
Ifroze as realization hit me.
Those girls. My eyes darted at Lovie and sure enough, she was grinning ear to ear, curling her hair with one hand while the other was entrapped in Atlas‘ arm
“We should teach her a lesson!”
“Oh no, we don’t plan to sue. She is my sister after all,” She taunted. I know you hate me, Julia. But how can you create such a scene and try to steal my identity?” she threw my words back at me. My heart ached.
Some of the guests and furious personnel stepped forward and I froze.
How could she win again? Why? How could I lose everything? My rights my designs. They were mine and now? I did everything. I tried my best, I really- a sob broke out from my lips and I saw it.
Atlas Volkan tore away from Lovie and stepped in front of me. He did it just in time for a tear to roll down my cheek.
What was he doing?
I pushed him away as rage boiled underneath my skin. What did he want? Why was he trying to play hero when-
“Wait. Is that Mrs. Lovie?”
I froze, shifting my gaze to the new center of attention. My eyes widened as I realized the scene playing in front of me and worse, where it was playing from.
My dearest my beloved, dearest Pico camera was about to save my
Life!
