From now on, she was gonna make him pay for all of it.
Phalicia’s grip on the steering wheel tightened until her knuckles turned white and the veins on the back of her hands bulged.
Thump, thump, thump.
A light knock came at the window.
“Miss, could you move your car, please?”
Phalicia looked up, her emotions still raw. She wiped her eyes and pulled away without a word.
Ryan scratched his head, standing there with his hands on his hips.
“Did I just see who I thought I saw? Was that Phalicia, the fiancee of the Voyage Group’s CEO?”
“Ryan.”
A low voice came from behind.
Ryan turned and quickly stepped over to take the documents from Horacio’s hands. “Did you get the full story?”
Horacio gave a slight nod. “What were you just saying?”
He glanced at the receding car.
“Oh, I just saw Phalicia. Looks like she came to visit her brother. She was crying her eyes out. Tsk, her brother got eight years for hurting someone in a fit of rage over her and ruined his whole future. If it were me, I’d be

crying every day too.”

Horacio didn’t respond. He checked the content on his voice recorder, then turned around.
“Let’s go.”
Ryan caught up. “Man, you’re really not the gossipy type, huh? Hey, are you gonna take her case or not? Wait up!”

Meanwhile, after leaving the prison, Phalicia messaged Caleb.
“Caleb, the Finance Department needs your password.”
“Still sleeping?”
She fired off several messages.
She was ready to move the depositors‘ money to Triumph Law Firm, but unexpectedly, she still needed Caleb’s security key.
It was already 10 a.m., and he had yet to show up.
He was out all night, didn’t show up at work, and wasn’t answering his phone or messages.
Was he exhausted from his night with his first love?
Phalicia frowned and floored the gas, heading straight for his place.
Caleb’s house sat behind Utopia Estates, right at the tail end of Haerford Bridge, in one of those primo sea–view villas.
Phalicia made it there in just ten minutes.
She got out of the car, took out her key, and unlocked the door.

Beep. The door clicked open.
She stepped inside and nearly tripped over a pair of black high heels on the floor.
Next to them were Caleb’s leather shoes and another pair of round–toed women’s flats.
“Licia? W–What are you doing here?”
Carlene emerged from the kitchen with a cup of coffee. When she saw Phalicia, she looked like she had seen a ghost.
Phalicia glanced at her.
She was wearing a black slip dress, the perfect match for those black high heels.
So the round–toed flats must belong to Shevonne.
Phalicia strode over, flung her bag onto the sofa, and completely disregarded Carlene’s terrified and anxious look.
“If you can be here, why can’t I? Where’s Caleb?”
Still speaking with that same cold and blunt tone, Phalicia made Carlene’s face twitch with irritation, but she didn’t dare say much.
She glanced nervously upstairs. “He’s still sleeping. Do you need something from him? I can pass the message. You should get back to work.”
Phalicia gave a half smile. “I’m here to see my husband. Since when do I need someone to speak for me?”
Carlene was caught off guard.

Phalicia’s lips curled into a colder smile. “Also, I outrank you at the company. You don’t get to tell me to go back to work. If anything, you should be explaining why you’re skipping yours.”
“You… You…” Carlene was taken aback by how aggressive Phalicia was.
